Trevor Wilson entered the tournament as reigning World Champion. However, he suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Chris Barron in the opening game of the season. He would also get beat by a field goal by his arch rival Matt Singer. The completion of the regular season saw Trevor walk away with a 6-2 record and a ranking of third.
He struggled through his opening game of the tournament versus KJ, but escaped with a narrow victory. He rebounded off of this shady performance to play a near perfect game. Wilson was able to avenge one of his earlier losses by defeating Singer 35-22 with a methodical, dominating offense and a smothering defense. This allowed Trevor to avenge his only other regular season lost.
The championship featured the defending World Champion and the number one ranked player in the world. It was all Trevor straight from the get-go, as he easily retained his title with a 71-44 win over Barron.
