SOME GREAT SPUD GUN PROPELLANTS
| Hair Spray(sucks.) |
Most Common Fuel. Not very powerful. For some reason this stuff is real popular with allot of spudgunners when in reality this crap sucks. Fools all of you! This shit sucks. It smells and it gums up your chamber. It will leave a black gooey slime in the chamber. Don't waste your time with this stuff. Use it only as a last resort. Just be ready to do some some hardcore scrubbing in your gun.
| WD-40 |
This stuff used to be the best. What I mean by that I mean that In early spring of 1998, the makers of WD-40 stooped putting flammable stuff in it. If you could find an old can of it, have fun. The new cans don't work. If you do find a working can, This is a pretty cool propellant it's greasy but oh well. It's stronger than Hair spray. And from what I've heard, It was pretty popular in it's day.
| Carburetor Cleaner |
It's stinky greasy and powerful. It is expensive. This stuff has a strong odor and is explosive. Don't put too much in because whatever doesn't burn in the initial blast will continue to burn inside your gun. There is a pretty nasty smoke and smell after the shot. This is a pretty good fuel.
| Lysol |
Isn't it great to have a anti bacterial spud gun? Once it dries, it isn't flammable. This is expensive and I don't personally like it. Pretty stinky too.
| Aerosol Spray Right Guard Deodorant |
This is the Best combustion gun fuel. Low odor and it leaves very little of a mess in the Chamber. Usually all that's left behind will be some water. It contains Alcohol 40-B, Propane, Butane, and IsoButane, and a small trace of water. This fuel is fairly Cheap and you can get around 500 seconds of spray per can and there is a very fine mist which guarantees a better likelihood that there will be a ignition. One of they few downsides is that I does leave behind some water in the chamber.
| BBQ Lighter Fluid
Put some in and let it rip. Spray something else in there too because just the fumes sitting in the bottom of the chamber don't work. Try Zippo lighter fluid too.
| Rubbing Alcohol |
If you put this in a pump spray bottle, This is a cheap and fairy crude fuel. It is efficient as far as a last minute resort fuel is concerned.
| Ether |
Real flammable and is designed to burn quick clean and be ignited by a small spark. We only had a half a can. The crap works real well.
| Propane |
Never tried it. Heard it works well if you can get the ratio of propane to air right. But the people who use it swear by it. I've been told it burns quickly, cleanly, powerfully, and cheaply. Give it a chance but try to get a 4% propane to air ratio.
| Bug Spray
Never tried it.
| Butane |
This is what is in lighters. Pretty flammable not really combustible. Never tried this either.
| Zippo Lighter Fluid |
I have tried this. The fluid must me atomized to work, but burns quickly, and leaves little smell and some grease in the chamber. The stuff burns real well.
| Spray Choke Cleaner |
Caution: Extremely flamable keep away from heat and and sparks
Warning: This product contains Xylene and is a very FLAMMABLE IF NOT EXPLOSIVE CHEMICAL!
| Starter Fluid | (contains: Heptane and Ethyl Ether.CrAp! this is very flammable, This concoction is beyond flammable, It's violably unstable and combustible. The distance this gives a gun is noticeable. |
