     NASCAR racing....especially Winston Cup is leaving every other professional sport eating dust.  

     In 1998, 17 of the top 20 attended sports events in the US were Winston Cup races.  

     In 1999, 6.3 million fans attended Winston Cup races, a 91% growth since 1990.

     Winston Cup attendance has increased every season for 18 years outpacing every other sport in the US.

     During 1998, NASCAR'S TV ratings are second only to the NFL.  

     In 1999 on cable television, Nascar ratings soared 40%, the NFL was unchanged, the NBA was unchanged, major league baseball dropped down 27% and the NHL was down 3%.

     In 1999 on network television, NASCAR ratings were up 20%, NFL up 5%, NBA up 9%, baseball down 27%, and the NHL down 7%.

     NASCAR is the only sport with television ratings that have increased every year since 1990.  

     38% of NASCAR fans are women.  

     55% of NASCAR fans have attended college and 30% earn more than $50,000 a year.  

     70% of NASCAR fans are in the 18-44 age group.  

     NASCAR fans are brand loyal, 72% support advertiser's products, compared with 38% of NBA and baseball fans and 36% of NFL fans.  

     Sales of NASCAR merchandise are up 1,100% since 1990, with $950 million in retail sales in 1998 and over $1.1 billion in 1999.
