PGA's history dates back to 1975 when a handful of golf enthusiasts decided to get better organized. Some of these gentlemen are still with the PGA today: Rudy Mallari, Butch Dulay, Jorge Amoranto, and Orly dela Cuesta. Teeing up with St. Peter in heavenly golf are former Philippine Ambassador Vic Romero, Commercial Attache Joe Zarate, Frank Garcia, and Mr. Jalandoni.
Alex Cervantes, Dr. Mabanta, and Fred Mathay, helped form the Pilipino Golf Club. Others who played with the group were Martin and Simeon Dee.
Golf green fees during those days were at $7.50.
