TOURNAMENT RULES PGA BC 1999

Reserving for TEE TIMES (CALL 443-8217 24 hrs.)

We will implement these rules strictly to assure that our tournaments run smoothly:

PRE-BOOK AND PREPAY (PBPP)—Members are encouraged to set up an account by depositing any lump sum amount equivalent to as many tournament games as they anticipate to play. (No post-dated cheques.) Members with a PBPP account are entitled to reserve preferred tee times.

RESERVING TEE TIMES—All members are confirmed for each tournament unless they cancel 2 weeks prior to tournament date. The assigned starter will take calls for tee time reservation between Sunday night and Tuesday night before the next date.

FIRST COME FIRST SERVE—Those who are not prepaid and who do not call to reserve will be assigned tee times on a FCFS basis.

NOTE: Members with reserved tee times must check with the starter at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled time. Failure to do so could result in a loss of start time.

Please note that TEE TIMES will be given on a first-come first serve basis. Members bringing UN-ANNOUNCED GUESTS will lose their guaranteed tee times and will be booked on FCFS basis. Members have FCFS priority over un-announced guests.

TOURNAMENT SCORING AND HANDICAP RULES

As RCGA MEMBERS, we are expected to follow RCGA Rules. This means that we must maintain scoring and handicapping integrity. At each tournament, every player must maintain his OWN score card. Golfers will exchange score cards at the 1st tee and keep each other’s score. At the conclusion of the round, each player will tally individual score card and counter-attest to its accuracy. BEFORE SUBMITTING score cards, members must do the following:

Adjust scores for Equitable Stroke Control (ESC).

Calculate the NET SCORE AFTER HANDICAP INDEX.

Indicate the stroke differential for handicap purposes.

Sign the card.
