Part seven
At the
hotel Kidman came knocking on the door, looking for Linzi. Jade opened the door
and glared at him.
"Look I
want to apologize for earlier," he said, "Is Linzi here?"
"She
gone for a walk." said Jade.
Kidman
found Linzi in the hotel grounds. She turned with a jump when he touched her
arm.
"I'm
sorry," he said, "For not listening to you earlier."
"What's
changed your mind?" she asked bitterly, "Five hours ago you never wanted to set
eyes on me again."
"I got
some advice from a friend. He made me realize something."
"What?"
asked Linzi.
"He
asked me if I wanted to ignore you and regret it or talk to you and sort it
out." Kidman smiled at her.
"And
which option did you choose?" she asked, moving closer to him.
"Neither," Linzi looked at him
confused, "I decided that what I really wanted to do was follow my instinct and
kiss you."
Kidman
cupped Linzi's chin in his hand, entwining his other hand in her hair and gently
bent his lips to hers. Her arms snaked around his neck, pressing her body to
his. She moaned as he slid his tongue into her mouth.
A
rustle and snigger from nearby bushes made them break off. Investigating they
found Mel and David. Mel clouted David.
"He
over balanced and fell on top of me. We were just checking that everything is
alright." explained Mel.
"Everything's fine." smiled Kidman,
hugging Linzi.
"Where's Jade?" asked Linzi.
"She
gone looking at Juvi's tattoo collection." said Mel. She and Linzi looked at
each other and burst out laughing.
"A
happy ending all round." said Linzi.
