Gangsters

Part thirteen

"Turn." Commanded Kim. Linzi sighed and turned.

"Mmf mm mmffhh" mumbled Maria, her mouth full of pins.

"Not so far." Interpreted Kim. Linzi turned back a bit. Maria quickly pinned up more of the hem of Linzi's wedding dress. Gabrielle sighed.

"You look like a fairy." She said.

"You're so lucky," said Pia, "I wish I was marrying Billy." She blushed furiously as everyone turned to stare at her. Linzi threw up her hands.

"Great. My whole family is against me," she complained, "Papa thinks he's wonderful, Mama thinks he's wonderful, he and Chris are like Siamese twins and even Pia thinks he's wonderful."

"Anyway he wants to marry Linzi, stupido." Gabrielle said to her sister.

"How do you know? Stupido." Retorted Pia.

"Because he told me. Stupido." Replied Gabrielle. The argument had just got to the pushing stage when the kitchen door began to open.

"Don't come in. Don't come in." Squealed the two girls running and slamming the door shout. There was a thud and a muffled curse.

"Dammit Chris that was my toe you just stood on!" Came Billy's voice.

"Bugger your toe," said Chris, "I think I've just broke my nose." Lissa poked her head round the door.

"Linzi's trying on her dress. You can't see her," she told the men outside, "Go and wait in the dining room."

"Did she get it in black like she asked for?" asked Chris.

"No it's white and she looks beautiful." Replied Lissa.

"Like a fairy," interjected Gabrielle, "And Pia loves you Billy."

"I do not!" shouted Pia indignantly.

"Well that makes two of us." Muttered Linzi as Kim hurried to separate the two fighting girls.

Billy, Chris and Craig went to wait in the dining room.

"Did you see the dress?" asked Billy.

"Was Sissy there?" asked Craig. Chris laughed and held up his hands to ward off the barrage of questions.

"No I didn't see the dress, and no, Sissy wasn't there." He said.

"You really like her don't you?" asked Billy. Craig blushed and nodded.

"I've never met anyone as lovely and fun to be with and just plain nice." He said still blushing.

"Perhaps you should talk to her?" Advised Chris.

"Or just kidnap her like Chris did" teased Billy.

"And you're the great romance expert!" retorted Chris. Billy looked hurt.

"Hey I'm sorry." Said Chris.

"It's not your fault." Shrugged Billy. Chris cursed his sister in his mind.

"Look guys it's great advice," said Craig, "But every time I go near her Dionico turns up.

"Knock him out, toss her over your shoulder and see what happens." said Billy.

"Will you save me when he punches me out?" Quipped Craig.

"Is that your plans for your wedding night, Billy?" laughed Chris.

"It might have to be." Sighed Billy.
