Gangsters
Part eight
They
heard news of Lissa's father that evening.
Linzi
and Lissa were clearing the dinner table. Diamond had taken Kim out for the
evening, Kelley wasn't feeling well and was upstairs being looked after by
Scott, Gianni and his wife were listening to the radio in another room. Chris
was hanging around teasing Lissa, making her laugh and Billy, who'd been invited
for dinner, was waiting around being solidly ignored by Linzi. Ralphus opened
the door.
"Someone
to see you Chris." He said pushing a young lad gently into the room.
"Well?"
said Chris. The young lad looked nervously at him and then Billy. Two men who
were fearless and notorious killers. He swallowed hard.
"I've
got news about Don Cianni." He said hoarsely. Chris motioned him to go on.
The boys gaze flickered uncertainly on Lissa. "It's not good."
"I
didn't think it would be," Remarked Lissa, "What is it?"
"Someone
saw you take Signorina Cianni. They told Don Cianni that she was just walking
besides you, not struggling. He thinks she went with you willingly." The
boy rushed out. Chris looked down, ruefully, at his shin were the bruise was
just starting to fade. Billy leaned forward suddenly. The boy jumped.
"There's
more isn't there?" said Billy. The lad nodded.
"He
says he's disowned her. She's no longer his daughter." He whispered. Lissa
gasped and sank, white faced, into a chair. Linzi put her arm round Lissa's
shoulders. Chris's face grew dark and the young lad started to shake nervously.
"Is
that all?" asked Chris quietly. The lad nodded speechless from fright.
Chris put his hand in his pocket and pulled out his wallet much to the lad's
relief. He peeled off some notes and tossed them to the boy.
"Ralphus
is waiting for you outside." He said. The boy nodded thankfully and
scurried out. Lissa had gathered some of her composure. Chris looked at her
thoughtfully.
"I'm
sorry." He said.
"It
wasn't your fault," said Lissa, "My father never loved me
anyway."
"Guess
I'll have to do the decent thing and make an honest woman of you," grinned
Chris, "I'll go tell Papa and Mama." Lissa stared, puzzled, at his
disappearing back. Linzi giggled.
"I
think you've just been proposed to, Lissa," she said. Lissa's mouth dropped
open. Linzi pushed her, "Go after him." Lissa smiled and rushed out of
the door.
"How
romantic." Commented Billy.
"It
was a better proposal than I got." Said Linzi.
"I
could propose to you now." Volunteered Billy.
"Don't
bother," Linzi snapped at him, "You know the answer anyway."
Billy ignored her and dropped to one knee in front of her grabbing her hand.
"Linzi
Marchessi, will you marry me?" he asked, his deep brown eyes holding hers
in a mesmerising gaze.
"No."
Said Linzi flatly. Billy rose to his feet.
"Then
I'll just have to persuade you." He smiled using her captured hand to pull
her towards him. Linzi dropped her head and refused to look at him. His hand
caught her chin forcing her head up. Gently he kissed her his hand moving slowly
from her chin to caress the back of her neck. From there it trailed down her
back moulding her body to his. Unwittingly, as if they had a life of their own,
Linzi's arms snaked around his neck. Billy deepened the kiss, kissing her
passionately, hungrily. Linzi's head was spinning. The kiss, that morning, in
the kitchen had been nothing compared to this assault on her senses. She moaned
softly against his mouth before realising that Billy caressing her breast was
causing the pleasurable sensations coursing through her body. The realisation
was more effective than a cold shower. Abruptly she pulled away and slapped him
hard across the face.
Lissa
had hurried after Chris, but found, as he had, that his parents had already
retired for the evening. Had he proposed to her or not, she wondered. 'Only one
way to find out Lissa' she told herself. She went upstairs and steeling herself
knocked on Chris's door.
"Come
in." Invited a voice from inside. Lissa pushed open the door and entered.
Chris was obviously getting ready for bed. His gun holster was slung over a
chair and his shirt was untucked and unbuttoned. Lissa's gaze was riveted by the
generous expanse of tanned muscular chest this exposed.
"Did
you want something?" asked Chris with an amused smile. Lissa continued to
stare at his chest. He waved a hand in front of her face. "Lissa!"
Lissa snapped back to reality.
"Oh
sorry. I was miles away." She giggled self-consciously.
"Have
you come to give me your answer?" enquired Chris.
"Sorry
what did you say?" asked Lissa, who'd been staring at his chest again.
Chris laughed and peeled off his shirt.
"That
better?" he teased. Lissa suddenly had difficulty breathing. Chris quickly
closed the gap between them and grabbing her hands pressed them flat against his
chest.
"What's
your answer, Lissa," he said softly, "Will you marry me? Please?"
Lissa gazed up into his eyes.
"You
really want to marry me?" she whispered in disbelief. Chris nodded.
"More
than anything. Ever since I first saw you sitting there in that office,"
Lissa closed her eyes as his lips fluttered over her eyelids, his breath warm
against her face, "I took one look in these beautiful green eyes and I was
lost." He wrapped his arms around her, "I'm so sorry about your
father. I didn't have to kidnap you, but I couldn't imagine leaving that office
without you." Lissa stood on tiptoe and pressed her lips to his.
"I'd
love to be your wife." She said gently. Chris grinned and swung her around,
startling her. He set her back down and crushed himself to her gently exploring
her mouth with his tongue. Lissa slowly caressed his chest, loving the feel of
his smooth skin under her hands. Chris growled softly in the back of his throat
and, scooping her up, he carried her over to the bed and laid her gently on it.
Before Lissa knew what was happening they were both naked. Chris took one of her
nipples in his mouth suckling on it. Lissa closed her eyes in ecstasy her
breathing becoming heavy and ragged. Chris's hand slid in between her legs
finding and gently caressing her clit. Lissa gasped quietly as he slid a finger
inside her using his thumb to continue his stroking of her throbbing clit.
Lissa's body arched off the bed and Chris kissed her muffling her cries of
pleasure. He positioned himself on top of her and looked at her uncertainly. She
brought his head down to kiss him deeply arching her body to rub against his
erect manhood. He needed no further invitation and gently entered her. He thrust
softly into her, breaking the barrier of her virginity. He kept the pace as slow
as he could until Lissa moved against him silently urging him to quicken his
pace. He responded to her unspoken
plea feeling his orgasm build up inside him. He gritted his teeth determined to
please Lissa. She spasmed, burying her face in his neck to muffle her cries of
ecstasy. The feeling of her tightening round him pushed Chris over the edge. He
thrust sharply into her loving the feel of her nails raking his back. He groaned
into her hair as he came. He closed his eyes and held Lissa tightly as he laid
his cheek on her hair. He could feel her heartbeat, faster than normal, thudding
against his chest. Chris let his breathing slow to normal before looking down at
the beautiful woman in his arms.
"Now
I really will have to marry you." He teased. Lissa smiled sleepily up at
him. He gently kissed her lips, thrilling at the response he elicited from her.
"I
should go back to my room." Said Lissa, making no move to lift her head off
Chris's chest.
"Yep."
Sighed Chris sadly, tightening his arms around her. Lissa sighed happily
snuggling even more against his chest.
"I
really should go to my own room. I can't be found in your bed." Said Lissa.
"I
know. Mama would have a fit." Said Chris stroking her hair. He kissed her
forehead and released her. He lay in bed, watching Lissa dress, with her
flushing slightly under such scrutiny. He beckoned her over when she had
finished dressing. He pulled her on top of him and kissed her.
