It's a thin line

Part one

Linzi was nervous when she stepped off the plane. She hadn't been back to her hometown since the family moved away when she was 18. Now five years later she was coming home.

She made her way by bus and taxi to her Grandmothers house. As she stared out of the window at familiar childhood streets memories flooded her. She smiled faintly. As long as she didn't bump into a certain person she would be fine.

Her Grandmother, a mine of information, had reassuring news for her. The only person in America she didn't want to see had moved away although his parents still lived there.

Later in the week Linzi made her way to a hotel were she would start her new job as a physiotherapist for WCW. As she checked in she noticed a young woman staring at her as Linzi gave her name.

"Are you the new physiotherapist?" asked the girl.

"Yes I am," smiled Linzi, "What do you do?"

"I'm a wrestler," Linzi raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"I didn't realize they had woman wrestlers. I've been in England for five years and we don't get much wrestling news over there." The woman smiled.

"I'm Mel," she said holding out her hand, "Come down when you've freshened up and I'll introduce you to everyone."

About an hour later Linzi made her way down to the bar area. Mel was looking out for her and waved her over. She patted the chair next to her and Linzi sat down.

"Hey everyone, this is our new physio." The guy opposite her looked up. The only guy she didn't want to see and she'd got a job in the same company as him. His eyes narrowed as he recognized her.

"What the hell are you doing here?" he snarled.
