Kevin seemed to be everywhere last night as he made it his business to stop the reign of Vince Russo.He made his first save when R&B Security and Palumbo on the order of Vince Russo broke down the cage door to attack Lex Luger. Kevin Nash jumped in the ring and proceeded to decimate Security until Mike Awesome snuck in and stopped him in his tracks. Lex Luger,however managed to get to his feet and grab a pair of bolt cutters.Mike Awesome thought better of standing up to both men alone and fled to the ramp.As the NB started to retreat backtage, Kevin challenged Awesome to an Ambulance Match later in the show.
The Match
Kevin backed the Ambulance into the arena to start a battle that would end only when one of the men ended up in the ambulance.The match began with Awesome and Kevin pounding each other from one corner of the ring to the other.Awesome brought a chair into the ring, but Kevin was a little to savvy for him and ended up using the chair on Awesome instad.They fought up the ramp and onto the stage, using the scaffolding as a weapon. Awesome set up a table on the floor but was met by DDP on his way back to the ramp and was treated to a Diamond Cutter!Kevin and DDP took Awesome to the edge of the stage and delivered a double powerbomb, driving Awesome through the table below. The referee called for the bell, awarding the match to Big Sexy!
But Kevin's night didn't end there!He sat backstage,keeping a eye on what was going on in the ring as the last match of the night went on and Jarret and Flair battled for the WCW Heavyweight Title. The fight was a wild one as The Nature Boy jumped Jarrett and tore into The Chosen One,beating him senseless around the ringside area. Jarrett managed to grab a chair and slammed it repeatedly into the midsection of Ric Flair. Jeff applied the figure four to the Nature Boy right in the center of the ring but somehow Flair came back and rolled up Jarrett for the pin!Ric Flair was the 15-time champion!But Russo, David and Daffney were furious.They ran in and, along with Jarrett, destroyed the Nature Boy with the mini Statue of Liberty. Enter Kevin,who once again saved the day.He powerbombed Double J right through the ring!Then picked up the belt and waited for Ric Flair to get to his feet.The Nature Boy was understandably wary,when he saw Kevin standing in front of him but Kevin handed him the belt and raised Flair's arm,giving props to the New WCW Champ!
