You get the message "404 Not Found". It means that you clicked on a dead link: the software you wanted is no longer on the server. When you start to download a file and the 'save file' window pops up, sometimes the extension is lost. This error is cause by your browser. Just rename the file to a .zip or .rar file or whatever. Only part of the file downloads, you get disconnected from the server. This happens once in a while. You should be able to re-select that file and continue your download. When you try to download a file, you get weird
characters instead of the 'save file' window. Just hold down the "Shift" key and click on the link or right click and select "save file as". It will open the 'save file' window so you can download the file.
