UNC Tar Heels

The team is very disputed in the their first game of the season versus Oakland. Really only winning on 2 plays and besides that they sucked. With everything being created by the defense. Those 2 plays were a 76 yard punt return by Jack Jackson for almost a TD and a INT by Ashley Ambrose around the 40 yard line of Oakland. With only the Punt return ending up with an TD while the INT was only good for a field goal. The only thing that looked for the offense was the fact they had 0 turnovers which is a big difference from last year and it is what made the team win.

The Defensive player of the game was Ashley Ambrose who had 9 tackles to lead the team and a INT. While the offensive player of the game was Pete Stoyanovich who had 7 points more then the rest of the UNC team and more then double what the Oakland had. Just to remind you the team won 13-3.

Overall if you consider yards the team lost just the opposite of last year were the team would always win in yards and loss the game. The team gave up 16 first downs and only got 11. The other team was very risky going for it on 4th down 3 times and only making it work once. The teams total net yards was far from impressive. UNC gettin only 165 and Oakland having 220. My team did very good with the INT and a fumble recovering and having 3 sacks and keeping the other team to 19 rushing yards. The game was far from good for the team so a few changes plan on being made by the GM which hopefully will work out for the team.

On the injury front DE Blaine Child was injured and will proably play and the injury will only last for 1 game. Next game is versus Dallas Cowboys who lost the first game of the season and are still suffering from there retirements. Go UNC!! and lets beat up some Dallas Cowboys!! And Bad luck to the Maine Maulers.
