FPS All-Star games done !!

The FPS finished it's 3rd Annual All-
Star Games. This season brought a change
in format though. As we all know, FPS
doesn't do a very good job picking All-
Stars, so this season we played 2 All-Star
Games. One had the starters voted in
(by you the managers) and the other was
those FPS Generated Teams. We also
allowed managers to manage the team -- as
the games got played out in full.

The Voted in game was first. Mike
Falzone (AL President) faced off against
Logan Gilson (NL President) in the first
annual Voted game. The managers were
allowed to pick their reserves and this
could have been the AL's major fault as
surprise pick Roger McDowell of Baltimore
let ALL the inherited runners score. That
included an RBI single followed by a 3-run
Pinch-hit Home Run by 3B Travis Fryman.
Fryman was named the game's MVP for his
effort. Hats off to the NL as they won the
game 5-1.
The FPS Generated game was a little more
interesting as the manager changing seemed
to happen often as the late hours and
postponement caused some managers problems.
Managers of the NL included Reds manager Lucas
Van Heuklom, Marlins manager Amir Moghaddam,
Cory Urban from the Braves, and Cardinals
manager Jeff Martin. In the AL, Ron Patrick
from the World Champion Orioles and Charles
Wilkins IV of the Red Sox finished the job.

This one took the AL right down to their
final player to get the job done as Scott
Erickson got the Win for the AL. He was the
last player remaining on the bench for the AL.
There were a few lead changes and some clutch
hitting in this one, but when it was over the
AL would get to do the winner's strut as they
overtook the NL 5-4 in 11 innings.

Barry Bonds 2 HR game earned him All-Star
MVP honors. I was forced to give the award as
by doing the regular sim right after I lost the
file, so it won't show in the recordbook :-(
