DENVER CRUSADERS TEAM REPORT

The year 2000 brought about many new changes in the Denver organization. First, the once known Denver Bullwhackers changed their name to the Denver Crusaders. Second, the old General Manager was fired, ue to the Denver 5-11 record. New General Manager, Erik Elden, took over the team and helped lead them to a 11-6 victory over Compton Onterage in week one. In week 2, the Clayton Blizzard prevailed over the Crusaders, and in week 3, Howards Hoyas slapped them silly in a 23-10 loss. In week 4, the Denver Crusaders will have a bye week. Hopefully they can get things back under control before their all important divisional game at home against the Yikes Rangers. The game is sold out like always. Both teams are 1-2, and feel if they don't make a move know, it will be a tough blow to their record.

Second year Linebacker, and leader on the team in tackles with 23, Peter Voulware said, "Last year I came in knowing there was a rivalry among these two teams, but I didn't know it was this big! This year I'm going to go out there and hit anything in a YIKES uniform I can see."

Wide Receiver Yatil Green said, "This year Yikes Rangers are going down hard into the turf. I guarantee a victory even if Eddie George can't play. (Eddie George received a sprained neck and was sidelined in the game versus Howards Hoyas. He is expected back as early as the game v.s. Yikes, or possibly as late as the week after v.s. Killworth.) I know the whole team is going to be prepared for this one."

A guaranteed victory huh? Well, lets see how Yikes Rangers can reply to that challenge, and how the Denver Crusaders can live it out.
