May be back soon !![]() Michael Ricks Broken collarbone - out 6 weeks |
Indianapolis-- " We just got totally outplayed on both sides of the field" said Coach Fried when reflecting on the 31-0 blowout loss to Howards today. It happened on the second drive of the game the bombers were showing promise moving up the field with big plays when Leaf was intercepted by Rick Hamilton and He rammed it back down Oklahoma's throat for a 57 yard return. Salaam didn't have any trouble trotting in for a 3 yard TD on the first play, that set the tone for the whole game. Leaf finally showed flaws in his armor throwing 3 picks. He's already done more then was expected of him but it would be nice if he could suck it up and get ready for the biggest game of the season next week at home against Redhill. This game will probably be the turning point in the season for the bombers, if they win they are contenders if they lose they might as well continue focus on rebuilding the team. The Bombers have been injury stricken with star wideout Chris Sanders going down in week 2 with a hyper-extended knee he will be forced to play next week because the rookie phenom Mikhael Ricks went down with a broken collarbone he's out for 6 weeks. The good news is linebacker JB Land is healthy again and will be out there at 100% against Redhill. Bombers coach Jon Fried may have made his biggest mistake in his tenyor as coach making those remarks about the Hoyas earlier in the week. The Hoyas have always had the skill to be great but they needed the will to be great. It is quite possible Fried fired them up with his moronic remarks and the hoyas demolished his team. He can only hope he didn't spark a run because if the Hoyas can play like they did today it can be expected they'll make a huge run and Oklahoma AND Redhill will be fighting for the wild card. |
