White Sox Make Some Big Trades |

Chicago- This past Sunday night, the Chicago White Sox made two blockbuster deals. In the smaller of the two deals, the Sox sent solid lefty Pedro A. Martinez and their 1st round ammy draft pick for awesome LF prospect Andruw Jones. Andruw Jones is a great prospect, but some people think they gave too much for him. White Sox GM Jeremy Tietjens said, "Well, I've already made so many bad trades already, that I don't think one more is going to matter...." In the bigger of the two deals, the White Sox traded great prospect Duane Singleton, Willis Otanez, and a draft pick to the Milkwuakee Brewers for CF star Bernie Williams and great 3B prospect Scott Rolen. Rolen is going to be a great 3B, and a tentative deal has already been worked out to trade Bernie Williams for a MAJOR superstar. The White Sox hope that these trades will push the White Sox over the edge and into the playoffs. In a related, disturbing story, the Houston police with some help from the Chicago police are investigating White Sox manager/GM Jeremy Tietjens for possibly hiring an unidentified man who attacked Houston's GM Erik Elden. Elden made some rude comments that were published in the Houston Chronicle about Tietjens' ability as a GM. No formal charges have been filed. |
