The Cubs are not having a good season at all but don't be supprised if next season there atleast a ways above .500 and that reason for once this year would not be from the nice hitting of the Cubs but from the pitching.With Carlos Perez,Marinio Riveria,Jose Rijio,Mike Morgan,and Chris Hammond all getting the call to start beware these guys are better then most of you probley think...Perez is probley the most valuable one but Riveria is a strike out pitcher when he pitchs,Rijio is the era guy this season in the 2.80 era range,Hammond has a chance to become a great pitcher as shown on his career stats but this season hasn't got it going thats why he's been moved from #1 or 2 start to 5th and Morgan is playing 4th starter and he is a solid vet he's a strikeout pitcher with a good era.What about the bullpen?Well they have a pretty solid one now with Dave Mlicki,Rheal Cormier,Armando Reynoso,Kevin Tapani,John Hayban,Grame Lloyd,and of course Randy Myers.Now let's go the offense it is simply as good as it's been all season with the speed of Lance Johnson,Brian Jordan,and Derek Bell.The Power of Tino Martinez and Andres Galaraga.The avrage hitters like Orlando Merced the CH king and Lance Johnson.The Prospect to keep your eye on 2B Lou Merloni.You will have to keep your eye on my prediction's on my team.Good luck to all FPS teams....Oh yeah as for Tino Martinez we here word of a 4 year contract worth about 22 million dollars and a 3.5 million signing bonus and the comments made by GM Heath Urban was"We feel he's a solid hitter who provides avrage and power and is the new team leader for us witch we need and he is happy with his contract and that's all that matters"Well duh what is that 5.5 million a year....
