PENNZOIL AND ASTROS STRIKE A DEAL
HOUSTON - The Houston Astros and Pennzoil have struck an advertisement
deal today. Pennzoil will pay 1.5 million a year if the Houston Astros advertise
them during commercial breaks for all their games.
"What are you asking me for? I could care less who sponsors us!" says Brian L. Hunter.
"Pennzoil? Why the hell do they want to sponsor a team like Houston for? They
suck!" say St. Louis Cardinal Alan Benes.
The Chicago White Sox are also reportedly trying to strike a deal with Pennzoil. When
asking GM Jeremy Tietjens he claimed to have no comment on the whole ordeal.
Hopefully this new Pennzoil deal will bring a burst of energy to the Houston ball
club who seems to be struggling a little before the All-Star break. A tough
two series coming up against First place St. Louis Cardinals and then the Los Angelas Dodgers.
Pennzoil spokesmen have also been seen talking to FPS Commishioner Charles
Wilkins. Apparently they were seen leaving Charles' home this past Tuesday night.
There is not additional information at this time.
