EXPOS HOBBLING ALONG

The Expos have broke from there traditional four man rotation. Manager Budge says... "we have noticed a propensity of injuries to our starters with the four man staff. I guess we will try to go with five as long as we have a decent fifth man to stick out there"

Sounds like the horse is already out of the barn with Pedro Martinez on the DL and not likely back for the playoffs. On the bright side the O Henry has been named player of the month once again. Rumors out of Montreal are that some big names will be shopped at the GM meetings immediately after the WS. Mariano Rivera, Bill Buhner and Jay Bell are all up for grabs. Martinez and Schourek are the only untouchables. The Expos need a big name middle infielder.

The Montreal Expos have fired there trainor Dr. Chuck Wurster. It is believed that Dr. Wurster has been corrupted by the evil Rene Wong, owner of the Brewers. You may remember the war of words between Budge (Expos owner) and Wong earlier this season. Evidence? As a warm up routine Wurster had the Expos walking over broken glass and dodging traffic outside Olympic Stadium. Currently injured for the Expos are Pedro Martinez, C Taubensee, 3b Andrews and cf Buhner) all starters. It is hoped that the purge of injuries has ended.

Rumors out of Brewtown are that owner Wong has been lacing his stadiums drinking water with amphetamines to keep his fans awake and perk up attendance. This report has not been confirmed.
