Yankees Team ReportWell the Yankees have been out of the playoff hunt for a while and could not close a deal near mid-season that would make them in the running. The team is still playing all of it's starters who are healthy which right now is 4 out of 6 possible. The team would like to say they are screwed they would have been playoff contenders if not leaders but so many good starting pitchers went down so far this season I have lost 3 starting pitchers under 3 ERA for some of the season. 2 of those pitchers were out for 4-6 months of the season. And the last one was out for almost his whole Yankees career becuase he was traded for around the deadline and has been out since. Even though the team's record is a flop they are still playing for some indivdual records which I have a few that are doing great on. John Wetteland the teams FP has been playing great he has a .64 ERA!!! While he has almost not walks and only 18 saves but that is because he spilt time closing with Trevor Hoffman what a combo but one of them had to go. He is 2nd in ERA only to Greg Maddux in the AL. And has done a great job and you will hear about him in this last sim update. Along with him is Reggie Sanders who is doing fine as well he is Tied in the AL for Triples and is 2nd in the whole league with only Gary Sheffield ahead of him. he is 3rd in the AL in steals and 8th in the league and he is doing fine this year with almost 30 HR's and great fielding. Plus this young star is only in his mid 20's so the team plans on him being a good part of there future. For the last sim the team did pretty good with Reggie, John, and Andy doing a good job to get a tough fine. There was a 15 inning game versus the Central Champs Celevland Indians. It was a tough hard game and Andy Pettitte pitched 10 innings with 3 ER, and giving up 6 hits, a walk land a 7 SO. And the closer John Wetteland who does not have great endurance pitched 5 IP gave up 2 Hits, 0 ER, 0BB, 5 SO and the win, Nice job FP!! AND MOST IMPORTANT THE GREAT HITTING BY REGGIE SANDERS!! The score was 3-3 in the bottom of the 15th and the pitching was getting tired. And the top of the order comes to the plate knowing that every run scored for the Yanks on this day was by HR. Having hit 2 himself already all solo. And bang the ball is gone and he hits his 3rd HR for the game winning run. And during this sim he had 2 stolen bases 5 HR's, two doubles for this sim and was batting over .400 what a week. Thanks all from the Yanks good luck to those in the playoffs.
