OKLAHOMA PULLS OFF COME BACK UPSET OF THE YEAR!

Rookie -- are you kidding ??

Ryan Leaf not playing like a rookie !!

Lambeau-- WOW! Theres only one word that can describe this game, WOW! What an unbelievable performance! Everyone expected this to be a romp for Redhill and it was going to be. Up by 14 in the 4rth quarter Leaf started throwing darts. The Dragons let up for just a second and the bombers pulled off one of if not the best comeback in the history of the league.

The bombers went down 10-0 early but in the second quarter Leaf hit newly acquired Marcus Dowdell for a 36 yard TD. It was 10-7 at the half and it looked like it was gonna be close til Redhill started pouring it on. It was 24-10 at the start of the 4rth quarter Jon Ritchie caught a 7 yard pass for a TD. It was 24-17 and it was close again but on the ensuing drive Ike Hilliard caught a 70 yard TD pass. Alden Black blocked the XP but the Bombers were still down by 13 and staring 3rd place in the face. But after a huge 35 yard reception by the limping star Chris Sanders, Chad Redden got a rare carry and pranced in from 3 yards out. 30-24!!!!! We got a huge defensive stand and got the ball with just under 3 minutes to go. But they were unable to make anything happen. Only 1:45 to go and Redhill had the ball. Luckily for Oklahoma the Redhill kicker missed a 44 yard field goal that would have iced the game. 1:04 to go in the game its do or die for Leaf and the Bombers with the ball on their own 34. 32 seconds to go, Oklahoma's ball on the 47 of the Dragons, Leaf takes the snap drops back, has plenty of time from his O-line looks, looks, looks, BOMBS IT TO RAGHIB THE ROCKET ISMAIL TOUCHDOWN OKLAHOMA WINS! OKLAHOMA WINS!

After the game Leaf commented on his 438 yard passing performence. " This team is on a mission. We're tired of hearing people tell us we aren't good enough to make it to the playoffs. We don't have the skill or the heart to make it in this league. Well folks the 4rth quarter of this game was a STATEMENT! This Team won't lay down for anybody. I don't care what happened last year, I wasn't here last year. We displayed the heart and will to win today. At the end of the season when we're on top and all of the critics have had their mouths shut, we can point back to this game, all the chips on the table do or die and who came through?!?!?! THE BOMBERS THATS WHO!"

Bombers Bid Farewell !!

Sam Adams

The Bombers filled the void left by Erric Pegram and James Stewart being traded with Natrone Means. But they had to say good bye to Sam Adams. In Adams's short stay in Oklahoma he was accepted and loved by the fans mostly because of his great play he will be missed and if we didn't need a running back you can bet Adams would be wearing red and black for the rest of his career.
