San Diego Padres

When is 12-13 not a bad record? According to
GM/Manager William Buttermaker 12-13 is a
hellva record saying his padres started out the
first week of the season 0-7. Buttermaker was
quoted as saying "0-7 is a real suck way to
start a season and alot of teams may not have
been able to rebound like we have. After going
0-7 we got it together and have gone 12-6 since
then to pull to 12-13."

Buttermaker gave credit to the strong pitching
staff or keeping them in most of the games.
While the offense still seems to be struggling
somewhat Jim Thome is by far the best hitter on
the team so far. Jim Thome is leading the team
in average bating in the .340 neighborhood.
Buttermaker is convinced that the rest of the
bats will wake up and proide the offensive
punch they are capable of. Buttermaker says
the plan for now is to continue with the pace
so far that have the playing well now. The
Dodgers seem to be the team to beat in our
division and we just want to keep pace with
them for now and overtake them as the season
winds to an end.

When asked if there was any personel change
coming up Buttermaker said If it aint broke
why fix it for now. But also no deal is ever
shot down. We will considered any and all
deals key word in that being we will CONSIDER
any deal . We are not running this team to be
a farm club for other teams or do we trade
players just to be trading So again all trade
offers will be considered.
