This is Manchester Uniteds 98-99 pre-season signing. Most United fans will remember the blonde haired winger because of his magnificent displays against United in Europe for IFK Gothenburg (Sweden). He scored against United at Old Trafford and every since then Fergie has been after the Swedish international.

Since his Gothenburg days he has played at Milan where he didn't get played very often so Parma snatched him for $6 million dollars (Around £4 million-I think!). Now his £4.4 million arrival at Old Trafford has added that little extra spice in the team and will add that little more excitement on a Saturday afternoon.

He will be the number fifteen at Old Trafford and will provide competition to Ryan Giggs. Saying that though Alex Ferguson has said that Jesper will be a first team player letting Giggs and Beckham have more freedom down the middle.
