Ronny Johnsen since coming to Old Trafford has been a bigger success than most United fans thought. Alex Ferguson bought him in the summer of 95. When he was bought the united fans didn't know a lot about the big defender and he was a surprise buy. But since then he has played brilliant for us and has never let the Old Trafford crowd down.

He has proved his ability by playing both at the back and in the center of midfield. When Roy Keane was injured it was surprising to see that it was going to be Johnsen to partner Butt in the middle of the park. But from then on he has played excellent!

He is now an established Norwegian international and has settled down very well at the club. But he's not on his own with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Henning Berg with him at Old Trafford Alex Ferguson has got the blend of Norwegian Class just right!

Ronny will be remembered as one of the United greats. He may not be that yet but he is getting there. He will be a favorite at Old Trafford for some seasons to come and will partner the Young lads of Gary and Philip Neville and play alongside the Dutch Jaap Stam.

You can depend on Ronny in all parts of the pitch. He may be solid as a rock at the back, but he will be up front when United are ready to send in a high set-piece. He has already his fair share of goals for United (for a defender), and most of these were scored from a header.

Ronny has a good few Old Trafford years ahead of him and lets hope those years are successful ones. He may have come to Old Trafford as an average defender, but when he leaves he will be a great United hero. The only shame is that he came to Old Trafford in the middle of his football career and he won't be here for as long as we would like!
