Here are the results for
the inagrual card for the WAA and Saturday Night Slam Masters:
*** "Iceman" Scott Snyder (w/ Dark Force
Rising) vs. "The Showstopper" Michael Draven (w/ D-X) ***
These two lightweights, we thought, would put on a great show for
everyone tonight. Well, that wasn't the case, as Draven performed
to about 50 percent of what we usually see him do, and Snyder was even
worse! Draven finally put an end to this match when he nailed Snyder
with some Sweet Chin Music to get the victory...
Winner - Michael Draven
For the WAA Television Title:
*** "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels (w/
Triple Threat) vs. Gunslinger ***
Now that Shawn Michaels had that whole name issue off his chest,
and didn't have to worry about some lame-brain Co-President breathing down
his neck, telling him to change it, we finally saw him do exactly what
he can do, and that's wrestle. Gunslinger showed up for a fight,
and gave Michaels a good one, but in the end, it was Michaels keeping his
TV title with a superplex.
Winner - Shawn Michaels (Remains TV Champ)
For the vacant WAA Extreme Title
No Holds Barred, Falls Count Anywhere
matchup:
*** Mick Foley vs. Prince of Darkness (w/
Dark Force Rising) ***
This match was all that it was hyped up to be, and more!
Both men came out in regular street clothes, and with weapons! Foley
came out in his Cactus Jack persona, with a barb-wire baseball bat, while
Prince came out with a folding chair. And both men used those weapons
extensively! Prince was busted open on his forehead within 3 minutes
of the match, and Foley wasn't too far behind. The turning point
in the match, however, was when the action spilled to the back of the arena,
where the locker rooms were located. Prince eventually dragged Foley
into the DFR locker room, but no one was there. Prince was looking
around everywhere for PE and Snyder. About two minutes later, they
finally make it back to the ring, and who was waiting there but PE and
Snyder. Prince, at the time, was in serious trouble. Foley
whipped Prince towards the group, who stopped him, and all 4 men attacked
Foley, and eventually, Prince defeated Foley with a moonsault on the floor.
When Prince was handed the belt, PE raised his hand, then knocked him on
his ass and started to pound away on him! Louie eventually went and
grabbed the mic.
Louie - Prince, get up you piece of trash! You know why we did this
to you? A.) Because you suck, and B.) we're sick and tired of walking
around, having people say that we're copycats of the nWo, when we know
we started all this s**t! But here you are, "stick with it, guys,
we're great!" yeah, well, here's a big F**K YOU for ya! (Louie stomps
on Prince.) We're not gonna do this s**t anymore! (Ghetto,
Louie, and Snyder rip off their DFR t-shirts to reveal shirts that say
"NLS" on the front...) Take a good look at this, Prince, because
here in the WAA, the DFR DIED tonight, and now, I present to everyone here,
the beginning, of the NO LIMIT SOLDIERS!!!! (Crowd begins to go fanatic...)
Winner - Prince of Darkness (New Extreme Champ)
For the vacant WAA Lightweight
Title:
*** KG vs. "The Bigg Dogg" Aaron Martin (w/
Triple Threat) ***
This match, in Martin's eyes, should have never happened.
But president Furman signed the match anyways, and these two men fought
it out just as they had done in the NIWA before it became defunct.
KG started out strong, but in the end, it was Martin and the Triple Threat,
winning the Lightweight gold.
Winner - Aaron Martin (New Lightweight Champ)
Non-Title Matchup:
*** Public Enemy (w/ Dark Force Rising) [WAA
World Tag Champs] vs. The Mystics ***
This match, as expected, was one sided. The side it leaned
on, however, was a different story. The Mystics came out and just
totally took the door handles off the car PE was riding in after what they
had done to Prince, who ended up being the final factor, because just as
PE started to make a comeback, in came Prince, and cost the Mystics a possible
victory over the WAA tag champs...
Winners - Public Enemy by DQ
*** Lee Tenn vs. The Golden Child ***
This match, on the other hand of the Snyder-Draven match, had probably
half the hype of the other one, but came out 3 times as great! Both
men put on a great show for the fans, with the youngster able to withstand
the attack of the Golden Child. But the ring rust was too much for
Golden Child, and when the match seemed just about over for him, TGC, rolled
out of the ring, under the bottom rope, and left, saying he wasn't ready
to get back in the ring, especially in the WAA.
Winner - Lee Tenn by Countout
For the WAA United States
Title:
*** "Mr. Every Night" Justin Hicks (w/ Triple
Threat) [champion] vs. "The ICON" Erik Draven (w/ D-X) [challenger] ***
This match never took place, as we received a phone call just as
the match was supposed to begin thta Erik Draven would not be there because,
as he put it, "... was in the Bahamas, maxin' and relaxin' with all the
beautiful babes..."
Winner - Justin Hicks (Remains U.S. Champ)
Main Event:
Non-Title Matchup:
*** "The Franchise" Jeff Bunda (w/ Triple
Threat) [WAA World Champion] vs. Redeemer ***
Most likely the best match of the evening, these two men showed
us why the WAA is and/or was a great league, and will always be remembered
as one. It was a back and forth, see-saw matchup that saw a lot of
crazy things happen. First off, the bottom rope of the ring came
loose, so while the match was still going on, a repair crew came down and
removed it from the ring. Secondly, some dumbf**k fan started to
set off fireworks in the middle of the arena, and was promptly put in his
place. But finally, when the match seemed just about over for Bunda,
"Make 'Em Say Uhh" by Master P began to play over the loudspeaker, and
out came Ghetto, Louie, and Pres. Furman, all wearing their No Limit Soldier
t-shirts. Ghetto grabbed a hold of Bunda's ankle and pulled him out
of the ring, then him (Ghetto) and Louie jumped into the ring, and threw
out Redeemer. Furman then followed with the mic..
Furman - Everybody in the house... WHAT'S UP??
(crowd beings to go fanatic, some fans start to chang "NLS! NLS!!"...)
Furman - Yeah, that's what I thought. Now, Bunda, Redeemer, you
twose just keep your asses out of this ring, and you'll be fine, 'cause
I got a couple of things to say here! Number one... I want
everyone to go check out my links page, and look into ALL these feds.
Yeah, believe it or not, I'm promoting other federations around here.
I'm not selfish.. I like to share the wealth... except, that is, with the
ladies!!! *grins* Second of all, Prince, earlier tonight, you got
dealt with, No Limit style, and from now on, that's the way things are
gonna be run around here! No Limit style! Which brings me to
my third and final point...
I'm sick of this s**t (rips off coat and tie...) Not wrestling,
but this front office crap. Look at these two men right here.
For over 4 years, I've been telling them, guiding them to over 20 World
Tag Team Titles. And believe me, they've still got a lot to prove!
So, I thought to myself, "Furman, why the hell are you wasting your time
running a league when you hate it?" And, I was right. I hate
this crap. So, that is why I present to you, your NEW WAA President,
a man that knows a lot about this game... let's give it up to the
man... THAT RUNS THIS SHOW...... LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I GIVE TO
YOU.... JEFF BUNDA!!!!
(Bunda hops into the ring and shakes Furman's hand)
Furman - So, to everyone out there now... we've got one thing to say...
WE RUN THIS SHOW NOW!!!!
Winner - No Contest
