WAA Saturday Night Slam Masters - May 23, 1998
UNDERCARD
WAA North American Tag Team Title Match
The Mystics (Druid & Rune) v. The Dynasty
(Erik & Michael Draven, w/Jenna Michaels)
The Dynasty continues their losing streak
here in the WAA, as Erik and Michael must be focused on other promotions
or other committments. The Mystics, however, were quite impressive
and were able to take advantage in this matchup early on. Mike Draven
took the brunt of the Mystics' assault, and was pinned with Druid's execution
of the Prophecy.
The Mystics d. The Dynasty with Druid's pin
on Michael Draven
The Mystics are your NEW
WAA North American Tag Team Champions!
Non-Title Match
"The Bigg Dogg" Aaron Martin (WAA Lightweight
Champion, w/Rebecca Claridge) v. Redeemer
Redeemer has been having his problems with
the Triple Threat as of late, and Martin was able to capitalize.
Martin used this opprotunity to display a wide variety of manuvers, finally
pinning the Redeemer with a moonsault press of the second rope.
"The Bigg Dogg" Aaron Martin d. Redeemer
with a Moonsault Press.
WAA Extreme Title Match
Thumbtack Match
Prince of Darkness (WAA Extreme Champion)
v. Lee Tenn
The Prince of Darkness was attacked on his
way to the ring by the No Limit Soldiers, and limped to the ring, after
hurting his knee. Lee Tenn took full advantage, and definately used
the Thumbtack tray in the center of the ring to take this match to the
next level of extremity. After a BULLDOG into the Thumbtacks, Prince's
face was covered in blood with thumbtacks stuck in various places.
Tenn left the ring to get a chair, and used it on the Prince, laying him
out. As soon as he saw he had the advantage, he POWER BOMBED Prince
onto the thumbtacks. He then turned him over, face first in the thumbtacks,
placed the steel chair on the back of his head, and came off the ropes
with a leg drop, mutilating Prince's already ripped-up face in the most
brutal match of 1998. Tenn got the three-count, and Prince was stretched
off by WAA Damage Control.
Lee Tenn d. Prince of Darkness with a leg
drop from the top rope.
Lee Tenn is your NEW
WAA Extreme Champion!
"Iceman" Scott Snyder v. Redeemer
This match was cancelled when someone realized
that Redeemer was double-booked.
The Ghetto Boy (w/Chris Furman and Swap Meet
Louie) v. KG (w/Sunny)
It was a back and forth matchup, however
the tide turned when Smirtdogg ran in and attacked KG. Sunny was
dismayed, however Chris Furman distracted her with his impressive biceps.
Once Smirt laid KG out, Ghetto picked him up and nailed him with the Ghetto
Driver, getting the three count.
The Ghetto Boy d. KG with the Ghetto Driver.
WAA Television Title Match
"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels (w/Rebecca
Claridge and Jeff Bunda) v. Swap Meet Louie (w/Chris Furman and The Ghetto
Boy)
Swap Meet looked a little off his game tonight,
as Michaels was able to capitalize on the turmoil from the preceeding match
to successfully defend his WAA Television Championship. Michaels,
with support from the Franchise and Rebecca Claridge in the corner, nailed
the Sweet Chin Music on Louie to get the pin.
Shawn Michaels d. Swap Meet Louie via the
Sweet Chin Music.
Shawn Michaels is STILL the WAA Television
Champion.
MAIN EVENT
WAA United States Title Match
"Mr. Every Night" Justin Hicks (w/Rebecca
Claridge and Triple Threat) v. Gunslinger
Justin seemed like he had his mind on other
things tonight, and the Gunslinger didn't look to impressive, either.
Hicks dominated the majority of the match, sending Gunslinger outside of
the ring from time to time and utilizing this to his advantage. Hicks
then whipped Gunslinger to the ropes, picked him up, and dropped him down
in his own version of the Extreme Death Drop, getting the 1,2,3.
Justin Hicks d. Gunslinger with a Modified
Extreme Death Drop.
Justin Hicks is STILL the WAA United States
Champion.
