Welcome message from Mr Moradoff

Welcome to 'The MIT', an International Tae Kwon-Do Federation Dojang.

To put it simply Tae Kwon-Do is a version of unarmed combat designed by General Choi, Hong Hi, in 1955 for the purpose of self-defence. It is more
than just that, however. It is the utilisation of the body in a scientific way which makes it a truly modern art. Tae Kwon-Do is renowned for its devastating and dynamic kicks, which, combined with its hand techniques provides an excellent all round self-protection system. Its philosophy is based not only on physical development, but also on mental conditioning, with a strong emphasis on the cultivation of moral culture as a way of life.

Through training one will gain self-confidence, improved overall fitness, self-defence, cardio-vascular workout, self-discipline and will be guided by
the tenets of : courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit.

As an art of self defence women will find TKD an invaluable asset in fending off an aggressor. As an exercise, it is equally suitable for the old and
young, male and female.

In recent years TKD has become one of the fastest growing martial arts in the world with over 40 million practitioners in more than 117 countries.

The MIT is affiliated to the International TKD Federation and is led by Mr. Nissan Moradoff, holder of a 5th dan black belt and an International
Instructor and Examiner. He has been practising TKD for 20 years under many renowned masters including the founder of TKD General Choi, Hong Hi, 9th Dan, his son Master Choi, Jung Hwa, 8th Dan and Master park, Do Sung, 8th Dan, Technical Director of the ITF.

Mr. Moradoff has been an instructor in the Harrow/Stanmore/Edgware area since 1984 with operating clubs in London, Luton, Manchester, affiliations in Israel as well as a close relationship with the UKTC in Scotland, headed by Mr. P. Harkess VIth Dan International Instructor.

Classes are open to both men and women and there are junior classes available for children above the age of 5. Beginners are welcome to join classes throughout the year.

The MIT is a member of and works closely with the Martial Arts Development Commission (MADEC), is affiliated to the International Tae Kwon-Do Federation, I.T.F. and is a member of the U.K./I.T.F.
