Blue Fuse formed to take on a gig at Manchester's Copper Face Jack's. Originally it was to be the Master Bluesman's right hand man Jon MArtin and Mel B, two flatmates from a commune in a former church in the badlands of Longsight. Jon wanted to take his music to a new direction so asked Mel, a pianist to join him. As the gig came closer, another resident, Andy, a bassist and saxophonist joined. The last member to join was Nigel, yet another flat-mate, who came along to a practice and joined in on drums. Stage fright and only 3 proper rehersals lead to a minor disaster at the gig. With no gigs in the forseable future, the group split. With the Jon and Nigel due to leave for France, the was to be that. But times change, exams are failed and Blue fuse have returned
