News & Rumors
Back to October News & Rumors

September 1998

Hacksaw Jim Duggan had surgery earlier this month to remove a kidney that was cancerous. It has been
report by WCW that he is doing well, but as for his future in the wrestling world is still unknown. All I
have to say is that it's good to know he is doing well. If you want to send Hacksaw a get well card, here's
  the address:
Jim Duggan
3941 Wateroak Way
Titusville Fl. 32796-1476
It has been rumored that the reason Kidman beat Juventud for the title was because Juvey had to take a
drug test and when the results came back, they were positive. I don't know how true this is, but if it is I
hope that Juvi takes care of his business.

TOPPS WCW cards should be out Oct/early Nov. if you want more info call 1-800-60-TOPPS.

Remember a couple weeks back when Jackie Chan was on Nitro in an insert talking about his movie? Well,
its rumored that he has signed with WCW to appear at World War III on Nov.22 in Aurbun Hills, Mich. to
wrestle Ernest "the Cat" Miller. "The Cat'' has issued an open challenge to anyone because he believes he is
unbeatable. Chan will answer the challenge to tame "the Cat".

The Sandman has apparently signed with WCW for a really nice contract. It unknown what he will be
doing, but WCW wants him to either remove or cover up the tattoo on his arm because they are a family
show. The tattoo is of a head with blood gushing out. The laugh that we've been hearing week after week is
not Eric Bischoff, but is said to be tied to the Sandman.

Its rumored that Kidman will face Ray Mysterio Jr. at Halloween havoc.

HBK will return to the ring in the Survivor Series match to win the WWF title back. It all depends on how
   his back will hold up.

Michael Cole was fired from Shotgun Saturday Night because Kevin Kelly just didn't like him. Its up in the
air as to if he is fired from the WWF as a whole.

Announcers Jim Ross and Jerry "the King" Lawler were absent from Monday Night Raw because they were
filming scenes for the movie Man on the Moon staring Jim Carrey. Its a documentary on Andy Kaufman's
life. During filming a scene with Carrey, Jerry Lawler got a little to into what was going on and pushed and
   swung at Carrey.

OTHER NEWS
Forget Sid Vicious ever coming back to one of the two top federations. His track record as being unreliable
for scheduled appearances has ruin his career. He now books through independent promoters for smaller
  federations.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated just released their PWI 500 and Stone Cold Steve Austin is #1. Anyway, I will get
the list up here by Friday night. Believe you'll be pretty surprised at where they placed some wrestlers
like Kidman, Saturn, the Hitman, Kevin Nash, and a whole bunch of others.
