1. The Rematch of the Century and Its Importance

Many of you idiotic fans out there, no doubt tuned into the great IWL supercard: IWL Apocalypse. Now, if any of you were fans of the IWL for a long amount of time, you remember one of the greatest matches in IWL history involving the World Title, the longest reigning champion in General Pentagon, and the Empress of Darkness. Let me take you back to September of 1997, General Pentagon has remained champion month after month, to the chagrin of most wrestling fans and wrestlers. He had prevailed in matches against Nosferatu, the first time a defending champion had retained the title was when IDP successfully defeated Nosferatu in a rematch, the Vindicator, Spazzz, Deathcall, Dale D'Amico, Slam, and many others. Well, going into the "granddaddy" 1st Annual IWL Anniversary Bash Pay-Per-View, the General would be facing the winner of the Jumble Jam Tournament and number one contender for the IWL World Championship, the Empress of Darkness. Before the match started, however, the Empress of Darkness came out with a surprise, she had joined TIC, the stable that General Pentagon turned down before he won the IWL World Championship and had been planning for months to get revenge that had failed to take place at the hands of Spazzz at Sunstroke. Now they would try again at the Bane of TIC, General Pentagon. They met inside a steel cage and in a match that left many breathless, a match that went back and forth, the Empress was finally able to walk out of the cage and win the championship.

Fast forward almost six months from then and now you're ready for IWL Apocalypse. This time, it's a No Time Limit, the General's the IC Champ, but the title can't be on the line, so no title's on the line. The only things up for grabs are respect and honor. Now, the General had something to prove in this match, and boy did he, he managed to pull off a major, clean victory over the Empress after both had kicked out of the other's finisher. This match showed the world what two great athletes could do in a wrestling ring. Arguably, the Empress of Darkness and General Pentagon are in the top five wrestlers EVER to step foot into an IWL ring, and you can bet that it'll happen again...and when it does, I want a ticket along with millions of others. Their rivalry is tied at one legitimate victory each...I can't wait for the tiebreaker!!!!!!!!!!
