2. The Alliance of Justice: A Return to a Bad Concept

When the Vindicator and Xavier Stone formed the "NEW" Alliance of Justice, I gagged. Sorry, for all you AoJ fans out there, but come on, I really do not believe that the AoJ is a viable stable and here's why. First, what differentiates the AoJ from any other stable or partnership in the IWL? Now, the SuperPowers were a unique concept, originally designed when Nosferatu and General Pentagon became allies. Format is simple, the partnership is not a stable but an alliance, which can be activate by either member when one feels the need to enlist the aid of another. This concept was new and invigorating and it formed the foundation for all alliances that General Pentagon embarked on with Nosferatu, Notorious Enterprises, and the Vindicator.

The Alliance of Justice is a weird organization, it seems to define itself as the antithesis of The Inner Circle, but the trouble with defining an organization against the other is that it's impossible for you to escape the shadow of your enemy. The old AoJ had the same problem when it formed in retaliation to the Demonican Republic. It was completely fractured by rivalries and disorganization and though the chance of this repeating with Xavier Stone and the Vindicator is small, the potentiality still remains.

From my point of view the two biggest problems with the Alliance of Justice Concept is that it is based on the enemy. It defines itself in the context of its enemy which in the long run only enhances the position of the very group they're trying to fight. Secondly, the chance of disorganization. The Vindicator appears to be the leader of the Alliance, but how firm is his rule? How long will Xavier want to subdue his career to the Vindicator? However, I must hand it to AoJ, under the wise leadership of the Vindicator and the intelligence of Xavier Stone, the Alliance has remained intact and strong. Xavier's loss to the General did not dampen his position as one of the premier athletes in the IWL, all he has to do is bounce back and decide where he wants to take his career. The Vindicator has always been and will always be a threat to any champion he challenges. These problems strike at the heart of the Alliance of Justice which goes to show you, that the Alliance of Justice is no SuperPowers.
