GrabIt - version 1.2c
Copyright (c) 2001 by "Nuttzy"
This is Freeware, so go nuts, but you must keep it free. Please don't
rip the delay penalty from my program and then distribute it.

FAQ:
	Q. WHY DOESN'T IT WORK FOR ME!?!
	A. As far as I know, the program should now work under all
configurations as long as D2 can connect to battle.net.

	Q. WHY IS THERE A DELAY PENALTY ON UBERS?
	A. I like to create useful tools. I don't want to write anything
that gives folks too significant an advantage over those that
don't have it. Therefore on uber drops (rare, set, and unique
items) there is a random delay of an average 2 seconds before
grabbing. Don't bug me about it.

	Q. CAN I BUY A "DELAY-LESS" VERSION?
	A. I will NEVER release a version without the delay unless I
decide to release it to everyone. I don't need your money, so
please don't bother to ask to buy. There was a person (hello2k1)
that briefly offered an Item Grabber without a delay, for a fee.
He no longer offers this program.

	Q. HOW DO I WORK THESE FILTERS?
	A. The filters allow you to set how far you are willing to walk to
pick up an item. Once you pass 5 yards, the further you walk,
the more your game will freeze or "lag" in order to allow you
to walk over and pick up the item. Select a quality of an item
you wish to pick up and how far you wish to go to grab it. For
instance, you can set to not pickup minor healing potions at all
while also setting to walk 10 yards to pick up super healing
potions. It is completely customizable. Be sure to use the SAVE
button so your setting will be rememebered for next time.

	Q. WHAT IS THE BEST DISTANCE TO USE?
	A. For most things, you should try to keep them under 5 yards. When
an item drops 5 yards or less away, there is no delay in grabbing
it. Also, if you walk towards an item, once it is within 5 yards
(or whatever range you specify) it will then be picked up, no
matter how long ago it was dropped. For instance, a necro could
hang back and let his minions kill everything. When it is safe,
the necro can just walk over the killing area, and all the items
will be grabbed. But say a ZOD rune just dropped on the edge
of the screen. Assuming your filter is set to do so, you will
then notice your game freeze or lag for about 2.5 to 3 seconds.
The zod rune will then be grabbed. BE CAREFUL!! Although it
doesn't look like you moved, you are now really standing where
that rune was! I suggest retreating after long delays if your
character is not made for melee hits.

RELEASE NOTES:
(these are the release notes from 1.1 because 1.2 changes hardly anything)

While I added some features, there are many more I wish to add. However,
I will be turning my attention to other projects in the near future.
Scroll down to the CHANGE LOG to see the difference between 1.1 and 1.0.
If you come across actual BUGS, please let me know! Thanks to Mousepad
for providing even more code, including using in game messages to
communicate with b.net; writing messages to the screen; and general help
with the D2 spagetti code =]

	Email to pktoolkit@netway.com
	Thanks!

TO DO:
	tomb management
if scroll goes into the inv, drop it
??	graceful exit if d2 is closed first - not sure what the problem is
pk shutdown - detect possible attacks and stop grabbing
option: write to screen when picking up (instead of at drop time)
	logging option
	pickup corpse
	expanded item filter (normal,socket)
	potion management (vbm)
	mundane item management (expanded vbm)
	seperate rares, uniques, sets

Installation:
	1) Download and unzip GrabIt1-2.zip to any directory you want.
	2) Hmmmm... there is no step 2!

Running:
	1) Open Diablo2, connect to Battle.Net, and log in your account. This
way you don't need to worry if I'm stealing your password, and you
	   can't accuse me either.
	2) Open GrabIt and adjust the filters however you desire. Use the
"Save" button if you wish to remember the changes for next use.
	3) Join/create a game and start grabbing!
NOTE: there is no longer a "start" button.

Overview:
It's kind of a pain in the ass to waste your time holding down the ALT
key and picking up little stacks of gold, potions, and scrolls right?
Also, wouldn't you hate it if you missed picking up a zod rune, perf
skull, or unique/set/rare item!?! I present you: GrabIt. It will detect
all items that you walk within range of or are dropped by monsters,
chests, and other players. You can set filters to have it pick up exactly
what you want. AND IT DOES IT FASTER THAN HUMANLY POSSIBLE!!!

Version History:
	11/23/01 - Version 1.2c
		- Minor revision released only to fix the D2 1.09c patch
			fixed a bug that made drops at 5 o'clock say 11 o'clock
modularized code - zero efficiency benefit
		- DOH! 1.2 had a small bug that made it so filters for rejuvination
			potions couldn't be set
		- what the hell is wrong with me!?!?! I forgot to update one memory
offset, so many time the range calculation was waaaay off. 1.2c
			fixes this problem.

	10/05/01 - Version 1.1
		- would have release much earlier if some fanatics didn't steal
airplanes from my local airport (Boston) and use them
			as missiles

		- CHANGE LOG:
use in game messages comm with b.net (thanks mousepad!)
writes updates to screen (thanks mousepad!)
			hotkey activation (thanks mousepad!)
random delay is 2 seconds on average
fixed up the GUI a bit
			added a minimize button
			added option dlg window
			added option to grab ears
added option to grab items you or other players drop
added option to control which updates to write to screen
created a seperate ini file for options
elminated some messages (packets) that weren't needed
fixed a bug that would allow undesired items to be grabbed
(Note: the undesired items were picked up at max range
and could have cause some SERIOUS lag at times)
fixed a bug where flawless gems except amethysts not grabbed
fixed a bug where no quality of topaz would be grabbed
program auto-senses when you enter D2
			removed "start" button (obsolete)
made about box more accessible after startup
			optimized some code
			gfx lite option
reports what range and at what clock pos where items are
fixed a bug where gold + rune filters were not added correctly
			user adjustable lag milliseconds
			added a "delay" option ;-)
			added option for passive mode

9/11/01 - Possibly the day I would have originally released 1.1, but
I never even thought about D2 hacking after the WTC disaster.

	8/28/01 - Version 1.0
		- stable release but need to add many features
