Safety Tips

Meadowspring Neighborhood Watch

Criminals prey on people who do not pay attention!

Here are some things that you can do to help improve the level of safety
in our neighborhood.

  1. Look out your front window regularly.

  2. Know your neighbors and what kinds of vehicles they drive.

  3. Lock your gates and do not leave your garbage cans in front of them.
They can act as ladders for criminals to get into your back yard.

  4. If you are out of town, ask a neighbor to put your trash out and bring in
the cans after they are emptied.

  5. Leave your front porch lights on from dusk until dawn.

  6. Always lock doors and windows, including the door from the garage
    into the house.

  7. Install motions detector lighting in your back and side yards.

  8. Always lock your car and never leave anything valuable inside.

  9. Cut shrubs down and prune trees up so that criminals do not have hiding places. Also, keeping your windows clear provides a better view for your neighbors to keep an eye on things.

  10. If you have an alarm system, always use it.
