Diary entry number one

Dear Diary,

I thought I might give you a name...but I have the problem of what it will be, I have a few ideas already, such as kazam, trigger, Wadonna, Blizzard, and Jiggers.

Anyways, well I am 16, this is my first website and I started it on Sunday October 10, 1999. It is coming along quite fast and I can't wait till all my ideas are complete and all I have to do update it and improve it. But I don't think that will happen for quite awhile. I have been riding horses for about three years. Supposedly I took lessons when I was super little but I can't remember. The first time I rode I rode on the largest horse in the stable. It was really really scary, but it was fun and I guess some could say I cought the bug. On top of that the teacher had to come back to me after the lesson and make a second check of whether or not I had ridden before. Then, I was not aware of my previouse lessons so of course I said no. But i do beleive that those lessons helped me get where I am today, so even if it is a few I think you should get your child on a horse as soon as possible, that is if you have access to a horse, let alone a child!

After that I started volunteering at a farm near my house and my knowledge and love grew more, and still is. That is where I really learnt to ride. I have never actually fallen of a horse. I am scared stiff about falling, I nearly did once. Our group was galloping in the "hay field" and as we turned the first corner my outer foot came out of the stirrup, and thank god I was riding in a wester saddle because on the next turn I nearly fell off I was screaming at the leader of the pack to stop and he did, on top of that it was the first time galloping! Not that I don't want to, I would jump at the chance to gallop again, but unfortunatly i have not had that chance so i have never galloped again.

There are many little storys that I would love to talk about, but I can't say them all so I will just say that the people that I work with and have been for however long that I love them all and probably wouldn't trade them for anything. Oh and the stupidest thing I ever said to them...to anyone...Is 'man that tracktor's got a motor!', and though I hate it, but I also love it, is when they all start poking me...it makes me SKWIRM and when bill goes and finds a spider orspiderweb and starts taunting me with it(EWWWW!!!). Ah, I would never trade any of that.

Well I also started lessons, I am in level three apparently, but they wanted me to first do the intro. program, its sort of boring, but at the same time its interesting because I'm learning all these little tricks to make life easyer. Though I am not so sure about how great it can be with a grouch as a horse, he bites, buckes, and refuses to ride without a leader, so theirfore I look like a fool! I'm getting bettre, I'm learning to get over his stubbornness, its difficult but it's happening, so I'm happy. For cleaning his hooves I just make his lead tighter, and riding him wile others are doing what ever infront of me, I have to be stern and tell him who's boss, but I need to work on the corners, he cuts them, and I find it difficult to control him in the trot. But again it's all improving, but the unfortunate thing is that the lesson finishes next week, in five days. Hay for all I know, I might be assigned him again!...but I'm not so sure I'd want that. Ah well talk to ya later

If I ever get a chance to scan any of the pictures of the horses at the farm, I'll have to put them up.
