Black

you were there under the bridge with your two siblings,  looking lost,  scared and alone.  I could relate to those feelings.   Brought you home and the girls and I named you,  black,  silver and brown,  according to your color.  Black you stood out to me and we were attracted to each other from the start.  I could not wait to go on the patio where you slept in the morning to have you jump up on my lap,  purring your little heart away,  and I loved the sound of your purring, then you would crawl up my neck,  nibble at my ear  and you loved playing in my hair and i loved you doing it.  seemed like you knew your name cause every time I went out there looking for you and I would say "Where is my Black"  there you were hopping up on my lap.  I miss you already and I am so sorry I even brought that dog here to hurt you.  You were so alive and full of life,  climbing on the girls gym set in the yard,  playing cat and mouse game with your siblings.  I love just watching you,  my Black.  Goodbye and I love you and even though we had such a short time together I will never forget you.  you will stay with me forever until we met again. unfortunately I have no pictures of you but I have all the pictures I need in my mind and heart of you.
