“We will always love and miss you!”

Dearest Cricket,

Words cannot describe the sadness we feel since you left our home and lives. Your family misses you very much - although the 3 years you shared with us was far too so short; you leave us a lifetime’s worth of memories that will be cherished forever.

It was fun to see you and your sister  (she misses you so much!)  Grow up from tiny little kittens to adults. We gladly gave you the run of the house and could see you liked playing the part of the “top cat”. We will miss you sunning yourself by the window, sleeping on your favorite chair, curling up at night with us and, most importantly, waiting for food! We hope you didn’t mind those nicknames we gave you: “Fat Cat”, “Big Grey” “Lazy Cat” It was out of affection and love for you. We tried to give you the best life possible and hoped you never wanted for anything. We are thankful for the unconditional love you gave to us in return.

The Lymphocytes that took away your appetite and vigor never dampened your loving spirit! Getting so weak, not eating your favorite foods and going through all of those tests was as painful as being told that nothing else could be done except to let you go. Part of us wanted to keep you as long as we could; but seeing you in pain we knew that once you closed your eyes forever, you would wake up in that beautiful, special place free of illness called the Rainbow Bridge.

We know that you were not as adventurous like you sister, but be brave and trust yourself to cross the bridge. You will live forever in happiness and in our hearts. Make lots of new friends and explore your wonderful new home. Big Grey, please keep an ear and eye open because one day, you will see us at the bridge and we will be together again!

We love you always!      Your family
