To our "Maxwell", you were
our first, and best friend when we moved
to Oregon, and you quickly became a cherished member of our
family.
On January 5th, 2000 when we met you we knew right away that you
were the one for us when YOU picked us to be your family. You
jumped
right up in our truck just like you belonged there forever. You were
a
little over two years old when you came to us and stayed with us
for
almost 4 years, in that time we played in the snow (you loved
that),
jumped in the river, played fetch, comforted me when the thunder
came,
went for many long walks, played with all the neighborhood kids,
went
for lots of rides in the truck with Daddy.
You were a big old gentle giant and loved by all! We loved
coming home
to see you waiting for us with your happy grin and your welcome
home
song, not to mention that tail waggin’ so fast and hard it could fan
a small
city. You will be in our hearts forever, you are a good ol’ sole.
The time
we did share was brief, but non the less very special. We were
truly
blessed to have gotten to spend that time together. You were the
best
doggie dog in the whole world.
You are going to meet some of our people friends and family that
have
gone on before you when you cross over the bridge, and I know they
are
going to love you just as much as we did. They will take good care of
you.
Just know that some day we will be together again and we can finish
our
game of fetch. I know that on the other side of the bridge all of your
days
will be filled with happiness and comfort. Take care good friend, you
are
in good hands.
