In 1993 I rescued Simba. A sweet male Pomeranian pup
that had spent the last four months of his six month life in an
abusive home. His gratitude for this was immediate. He soon became my
best friend.
Simba always thought he was the biggest dog on the block even
though he never got over ten pounds. The character he had and the
attitude he portrayed made it impossible not to love him.
Over the last ten years Simba was a steadfast companion who saw
me through a failing marriage and a bitter divorce. He then proceeded
to help me pick my new mate by warming up to her immediately. You see
Simba had been abused by a woman and was never very comfortable around
them. He showed me how brave he was and challenged me to be as brave
as he and take the same chance. He soon stole her heart as wellâ?¦
Simba was diagnosed ten months ago with Cushingâ?Ts disease and
did not respond well to treatment. Everything possible was tried to
alleviate the symptoms but today we had to take him to the family vet
to end his discomfort and help him across the bridge.
Our hearts are brokenâ?¦ Our little Bud brought so much joy
into our lives that it is hard to imagine what it will be like not
having him there to greet us when we come home or cuddle up with us
after dinner.
Good journey Bazeeâ?¦ You were always such a good boyâ?¦We
will miss you deeplyâ?¦
