Nangari
John Michael (Charles' father) secured land when this land was opened for selection in 1881. Mary and John settled on this property ten miles east of Port Augusta (on the old Port Augusta to Wilmington Road) at the foot of the Flinders Ranges and overlooking Spencer Gulf. They named the property "Nangari" an aboriginal word meaning "A Quiet Place". After his marriage Charles took over the family farm. In 1953 this property was sold to Mr J C Fullerton when Charles retired to Adelaide.
