What you need: 5 brown paper grocery bags, yarn/twine/string, glue, paper punch, masking tape, pencil, ruler, scissors, old magazines, newspapers pictures and markers.
Instructions:
Cut the side of a grocery bag that has no
printing on it. Cut four other bags in the same manner. Fold each sheet
in half. Press hard several times along the side fold to form a firm crease.
Now use a pencil to mark holes along the left-hand side of the sheet. To
get the holes to line up, place a ruler along the folded edge of each sheet
and make marks at 2 inches, 6 inches and 10 inches. Use a paper punch to
punch out holes in the places you marked on each page. Open the pages so
they lie flat. Stack the sheets on top of each other, then fold them all
together along the creases to form the book. Thread a piece of colorful
yarn/twine/string through each hole and tie the ends in a knot. Trim the
edges of the scrap book with scissors so they are even. If you want, you
can even cut the sides of your scrapbook into designs or shapes. To design
your cover, cut out letters, words and designs from magazines or newspapers.
Then glue these cutouts onto your cover to make a collage. You can also
use paints or markers. Now stick any pictures you want inside and
"Presto!" You have a Vacation Scrap Book.
