My Response
Although I do not feel like I am in the position to make a decision on where I stand on this issue, I have been enlightened by the possibilities of evolution. The information I encountered while researching evolution was very interesting. I found myself not only looking for explanations to use in my website, but for the satisfaction of my own curiosity as well.
The information I obtained for the creation side did not provide the kinds of concrete evidence which I was hoping to find. Creation science seems to launch its argument from the platform of defeating evolution by refuting evolutionary claims. Sometimes these tactics are convincing, but often I think the attacks against evolution are simply a difference in interpretation of evidence. For example, creationists will argue against the evolutionists view of the fossil record, but they do not have a convincing explanation for how the fossil record proves creation. Obviously in this sort of debate the claims coming from both sides will be biased. However, it would be nice to analyze data from strictly a neutral standpoint and to make inferences based on the facts.
