Seeds of Change Counseling was founded in September 2001 by two University of Oregon Graduates, Dave Boyer and Walt Powell.

Dave Boyer is a practicing counselor and co-founder of Seeds Of Change Counseling Services in Eugene, Oregon. He earned his bachelor degree in psychology from the University of Oregon and received his masters degree in counseling with a specialization in marriage and family therapy from the College of Education at the University of Oregon. He is also an Associate Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Dave enjoys playing the drums (a former heavy metal rock-and-roller), backpacking, good ol� backyard barbecues with his family and close friends, and lounging out in the evening with a dog-eared copy of Lord of the Rings.

Walt Powell is a practicing counselor and co-founder of Seeds Of Change Counseling Services in Eugene, Oregon. He earned his bachelor degree in psychology from the University of Oregon and received his masters degree in counseling with a specialization in marriage and family therapy from the College of Education at the University of Oregon. He is also an Associate Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Walt is an avid mountaineer and skier. Other interests include: history, anthropology, astronomy, playing the piano, bee-keeping, and spending time with his family and close friends.

Both Dave and Walt have a broad range of rich experiences in the field of therapy, including: couples therapy, family therapy, work with court mandated adolescents, crisis counseling, domestic violence therapy, and various individual therapies.
