No matter what a person does, that person always has a responsibility. No matter what job that a person works at, there is always something that the person is responsible for. For example: at a gas station, the gas attendant(s) is responsible for the product inside & outside along with the safety of the customers inside & outside. Also if there is only one person on duty at a time at that gas station, that means that the gas attendant is also responsible for the cash in the building, and also may be responsible for a few more extra things that most people wouldn't realize.
A person in an office has responsibilities too, especially if the person is part of a "Head Office" of some kind. In some offices people tend to shift the blame from person to person until someone stops shifting the blame, or the person that is being blamed doesn't feel like shifting the blame. There are some people that will allow a person to blame them for something that they had nothing to do with because the person just doesn't want to fight with the one that is blaming him/her for the situation. Usually when some blame is to be applied to someone it is because it deals with money.
When a person accepts the blame for a situation and doesn't fight back when it happens, the person is seen as a perfect "Fall-Guy", in turn is blamed more than once for something. Even if the person fights back at some point, it is difficult to prove it wasn't that person's fault because that person has taken the blame so many other times. There are times the person may be able to prove that it is not his/her fault, however it is rare. The problem with having someone else take the responsibility for your own fault is that it shows that you, yourself, are still an irresponsible individual. Your superiors may not know that you are irresponsible however those whom get blamed because of you do know, and most times those people are the ones that count.
For every person at any job, whether it is at home or at another place, the person is responsible for his/her own actions. If the person has an accident of any kind at home, the person will actually tell someone of the accident. If the person has an accident at work someone is also told of the accident. At times nothing gets done when it is at work because it is not a major accident, so no reports are filed. The problem is that every person has his/her definition of a serious accident. Some people think that an accident is more serious than it really is, and others may think that an accident isn't so serious. There is no real medium because no one at a job really thinks that the difference between minor & major needs to be defined to anyone, everyone believes that one definition is the same for everyone when it isn't.
Most people have no problem with having responsibilities, however of those people, many people enjoy having those responsibilities only when something positive comes along because of those responsibilities. When something negative comes along those same people do not want those responsibilities any more because that type of person doesn't like being seen as someone that has done something wrong. This is the type of person that every work environment has at least one of, which rather unfortunate because that type of person causes the stress level of other people to go up higher than is necessary.
I can honestly say that responsibilities are good to have, whether something good or bad comes from those responsibilities, it is good to be able to receive both good and bad situations from those responsibilities to see how your personal character will deal with each and every situation. If a person is a coward by nature, that person will shift the fault to another person without taking the responsibility himself/herself. If a person receives something negative from the responsibilities and doesn't try to include someone else into the reason for the problem, which means that the person is respectful towards the responsibilities and can see the fault. Many people do not realize how much their personal character is effected for every decision that the person makes and how his/her personal character will change due to the responsibilities that he/she takes upon themselves.
