Dreams can be defined in two general ways. One way to define dreams is the goals that you set for yourself in life. The other way to define dreams is what your sub-conscious chooses to have you see when you sleep. Dreams seem to be the only thing that a person can have, and the dream seems to stay pure/good. The dreams that you set for yourself in life will change after time, however the need to set such high needs/expectations is necessary to help yourself succeed in life more. If a person doesn't set any type of dream for himself/herself, then the person is one of two things. The person is either a "lazy bum of a person" or an "idiot"; of course this is my opinion.
There are many people that have analyzed dreams as much as possible. There are many books out in the world today to help a person define what his/her dreams mean. A person can study dreams all of his/her life and may still not know what every dream means because dreams are defined by each individual's interpretation of the dreams. There are many times that a dream can be interpreted one way by a lot of people, however there is still the chance that the dream could mean something else. Dreams are mostly based out of your subconscious and can change the interpretation due to the experience that the individual could have.
Nightmares that people have can still be classified as a pure thing to experience, regardless of the negative feedback that you will feel. Many times when a dream is perceived as a nightmare, the subconscious is trying to warn the person about a danger that it perceives. The rest of the time the subconscious is using a nightmare to show the person that his/her fears could be realized sooner than expected. Many times that this happens, the person is stressed out and needs a form of relief that he/she may not realize that is needed. Having a nightmare can make the person have a sleepless night at times, however it still will have the person experience a sense of relief after waking from it. Of course there are also the times that a memory comes back to a person by being a nightmare. There are times that people will bury at memory to "hide" from the memory. The memory could be traumatic enough that the person doesn't want to think about it, so the person will put it in the back of his/her mind. This is one of those things that the subconscious is always aware of because it doesn't have the ability to be limited as a person's mind can be.
A person can choose to not remember something and cause his/her own mind to repress the memory, which can cause the person to truly not remember the memory. The subconscious of the person will never forget that the memory is hidden. The subconscious will bring this memory, or pieces of it, to you in nightmares to remind you that the memory is still there. This can be annoying to anyone that is trying to forget something that cannot be resolved by him/her. If it was a death of a friend/family member that you witnessed, murder or natural death, you may choose to forget this ever happened. If you choose to not remember this type of situation, this means that you are unable to face the situation at the present time. The catch is that your subconscious will choose a time in the future, that it perceives that you are ready to face the situation. Whether it was a death in the family or it was something more serious, your subconscious will not allow you to keep it buried forever.
A dream can help predict a person's future, depending the interpretation that is involved with the dream. Many people will talk to theorpists about his/her dreams because he/she may want a "professional's" definition of the dream. Most people that take the extreme of seeing a theorpist either had previously seen the theorpist about something already, or the person is just starting to see the theorpist about something. Most people wouldn't spend that much money into finding out what a dream really means, at least that type of extreme anyhow.
A dream can have the power to help a person by giving the person an extra bit of hope, or even some inner-strength. Dreams have the power to improve our look on life. The subconscious of every given person is different depending on the knowledge/experiences that the person has had, however the subconscious can be the same at the same time. The subconscious of any given person can be seen the same way, through theories, because of the fact that it reacts the same way to the person's mind. This is why there are so many different books, etc. in the world about dreams. The constant that seems to appear in the books about dreams is the fact that the more complicated that the dream is, the more normal the person is. So the simpler that your dreams are, the more insane you are (in theory).
To interpret dreams properly, a person must realize that the dream itself is not what the meaning is. The symbolism of the dream is how to define the meaning of the dream. If a person had a dream about having a tooth fall out, the symbolism actually means "financial difficulties". So the dream, itself, doesn't mean that you will have a tooth fall out, it means something else altogether. The symbolisms of dreams are almost never the exact same thing as you dreamed about, however all dreams mean something. Finding out what the dream means is just half the battle, realizing how the symbolism affects you the other half of the battle.
The dreams I have are extremely complicated, so that would make me one of the normal people of the world. The reason behind the complications is because when I dream I will have fragments of 4-5 different dreams at the same time. I do not have only one dream at a time, and also these dreams are all random. There are some dreams that reoccur, however I don't discuss with others about the dreams. To know my dreams is to have me trust you. I don't trust many people, after perhaps after time these dreams may be known on this site.
I have found that it is good to be able to dream. Whether the dream is good or bad, doesn't matter to me. To dream shows some creativity left in the mind. The subconscious may try to send you a message through the dream, however it is the creativeness of the individual that has the dream come into perspective in the first place. If a person is unable/unwilling to trust himself/herself, then the person is unable to remember most of the dream that he/she has experienced. If your subconscious is trying to send a warning/message to you and you don't trust your dreams, then the warning/message will be lost to you.
There are many people that do not believe that the subconscious mind is able to send warnings/messages to you about life. Those people are unwilling to explore the possibility that life can be predicted, or at least partial predicted. There is always a possibility in something happening. What happens may be positive or negative, however there is still the possibility of something happening. If a person is unwilling to believe that the possibility exists, then the person may not be able to see any warnings/messages that his/her subconscious is trying to have you see.
I have the belief that anything is possible. My proof of this is the fact that I go excessive speeds on the roads, but I only do it when I feel comfortable with the road conditions. I will not go a speed I am not comfortable with, especially if I do not believe that the road conditions are proper for the speed. I have done this for years, and many of my friends have had "speeding tickets" when he/she tries the same thing. The only time I have been "pulled-over" is by being a "suspicious looking vehicle", which means no ticket. The funny thing is when this happens I am under the speed limit, so a "suspicious looking vehicle" is one that is not "exceeding the speed-limit". I have had times that the police must have "clocked" me going 20+ over the speed limit and not touched me, however when I am 5+ under the speed limit I am pulled-over. So anything is possible in my eyes.
I have had a person talk to me about "karma", and I do believe that it exists. I look at the fact that my "speeding tickets" average (none existence) would be proof that my "karma" (or luck) is high. I also believe that a person's "karma" is also tied with the dreams that a person will experience. Although "karma" is the belief that people will get out of life what he/she deserves; I guess I don't deserve a "speeding ticket". I also know of a person that is one of the nicest people in the world, however has had the worst of luck. I know that he/she doesn't deserve these things to happen to him/her because of the type of good-hearted person that he/she is. The things that he/she has gone throughout life should happen to someone that deserves it, not someone that is like him/her. To have such things happen to a good person gives the question whether someone is "screwing" with the "karma" of him/her. I know of many people that deserve to have these things happen to them, however his/her "just deserts" have yet to come. Perhaps after time the "karma" will fix itself so that those who deserve the bad things to happen will have them happen. A good example would be to have me get a "speeding ticket" because I know that it will happen after time.
A person's dreams may predict the future and the dreams may just give out "hints". If we are able to identify the "hints" properly, then we will be to see everything that your subconscious mind sees. There is no real way to know whether you are to be able to see the future, however you should remember that the human brain has yet to be explored to the fullest. There is a lot of the brain/mind that we do not use, that could have us have different abilities. Some of the abilities that are believed to be in those sections of the brain/mind are telekinesis, levitation, past sight, etc. These are the abilities that science has tried to prove do not exist, however there is always some evidence somewhere that says otherwise. The dreams of any given person can change the world, it all depends on whether he/she can realize how he/she can change the world.
