Many people say that they are part of the innocent people of the world. Most of these people that claim this are lying and are hiding behind this lie from something bad that they have done in the past. It could be a crime that they did and got away with, it could be that they hurt someone with improper language, or it could be they hit something with their vehicle and didn't stop to see if it was ok. Innocence can only be found in young children, and sometimes it is difficult to find a young child that is innocent.
I have found that there are some children that have an innocence to them that actually causes confusion on some people because you don't expect to find a child that has some innocence to them. I know from personally experience that a child that has grown to like me (god knows why) has a unique innocence to her that has me confused. Where I block out many of my emotions so that I can joke around with everyone I meet and not take any offense to anything we say together, a child like this causes me to feel confused. Most children (around that age) see me and see a giant, or someone that is bigger than his/her parents are. Well with this specific person I have been told that she is growing attached to me, and that they wouldn't have guessed that I could be nice to children as I have been to her. I have been also told that where I get along with this specific child that I have a natural ability to be a good person to children (in general). Being good with children is confusing to me especially where my emotions are not around to deal with the child. Having no emotions when I am with whomever helps me to deal with them without the need to worry about every little thing I do. This is sort of like have a very small conscience.
I have also realized that the phrase "the innocence of one will empower the many" has a deeper meaning than what people realize. Many people will see this phrase as a family. When a child is brought into a family, the child's innocence gives the child's parents a great feeling of happiness. Also in turn having more than one child will cause a greater happiness than many people will find outside of a family. This may be the feeling that I am having with this specific child, I may be feeling happy but where I don't express emotions it is confusing to me.
For me personally the phrase "the innocence of one will empower the many" actually means that the innocence of one person will help give a greater strength to many others. If innocent people die (September 11/01), their deaths will give other people a greater need to do revenge on to those that killed the innocent. No matter what the circumstances behind the death of a person, if they were innocent at that time, someone will be looking to give out some revenge because of that death. This is also true if the person was injured too. If a person sees that their younger/older sibling is attacked by someone, that person will use the innocence of that person to have extra strength to fight against the attacker. This is especially true if it was a younger sibling. Revenge is always the first instinct in everyone, however depending on the person the first action that is done will vary. With a male there is a higher chance to see them attack the attacker because of revenge, and this isn't the smartest thing in the world to do because you never know whether the attacker has a weapon of some kind or not. For some reason a male has a better chance to do revenge on that person with violence against that person. If it is a female (in general) in which witnesses the attack on their sibling, most of the time the female will chase the person away and return to their sibling.
After this past weekend, I can understand innocence more. I just met the new member of my family and saw what true innocence looks like. The innocence that a baby has in his/her eyes is able to make people, even me, see what true innocence looks like. The innocence that I saw with this baby helped me see innocence, in its purity, and has done something to me. Seeing this innocence has made me understand that true innocence really does exist. This has also uncovered a form of emotion that I didn't know existed. It has uncovered a form of happiness, about the same time that I saw the innocence in the baby's eyes.
Seeing the innocence has also caused me to feel sad too. It makes me sad because of having the knowledge that the world will try to corrupt this innocence, after time. In the real world, true innocence must be stopped because the world doesn't function with true innocence. No matter how innocent that someone says that they are, in the real world, there is always a way to corrupt them. If a person is has true innocence, the world is unable to use any negative things against the person. This causes the real world to be unable to function properly. If the real world is unable to force a person to do something, usually done by blackmail, the people in the real world have difficulties working with the person. It doesn't seem right, but it's the truth. Just think about how many "skeletons" that is in your closet that people are able to throw at you to make you do things. If a person has true innocence, those "skeletons" will not exist, so the actions of the person will be pure.
This weekend I spent approximately 2 hours with this new member of the family. The innocence of this child made me feel like I didn't want to leave him/her. I have been around other children at this age before, however very few of them were able to show this type of innocence. Some may say that it is because he/she is family, however I didn't see this type of innocence in any of my siblings. I have seen this type of innocence in the past, but the parents/sibling of the child corrupted the innocence that the child had. It is painful when you can see it happening, and not be able to stop it. Innocence like this should be protected at all costs, not exploited like many people have done/will do. When someone exploits innocence like this, the innocence tends to become corrupted and is not as pure any more.
It is always good to have rules for children to follow, and this will not corrupt the innocence of the child. The child can break a rule or two, and it will not corrupt the innocence of the child. It is when a child breaks a rule or two and is not punished somehow (or explained why it is wrong) that the innocence starts to be corrupted. When a child is not told that what he/she has done is wrong and can continue doing it, will cause the innocence of the child to become corrupt. No one can tell someone else how to do parenting properly because there is no true answer to it, however it is possible to see when a parent will allow the child to do whatever he/she pleases. When a parent has no control over the child like this, the child's innocence will decrease due to the lack of guidance.
It is rare for me to see anything good in people, any more. As the years of dealing with people, whether it's through work or through life (in general), it is rare to see any good any more. It is especially rare for me to feel anything when I do see anything good in people. With the amount of corruption that exists in the world, it shows how rare things really can be. Where it is so rare to find good in anyone, it is also rare to find a person (older than 20) to have some good left in him/her. Usually at that age the person is subjected to as much corruption that the world has for anyone. I know of a very few people that are older than 20 that still have some good left in them. Which means that these people also have some innocence left in them too.
The more innocence that you can find in a person, the more good is in the person's heart. There are many "good hearted" people in the world today. The catch is to find them, and be able to have them as friends. A "good hearted" person will have some innocence with them, and will make you feel like the world still has some hope. This type of person is necessary in life, however it does seem that the world is crueler to this type of person than any other. I know from personal experience that the world seems to be crueler to this type of person because of the "good nature" (innocence) that the person possesses. If a person doesn't have a "good nature" the world is less cruel to them. I know that this sounds a little far-fetched, however it's the truth. An example of this is student loans. When a person with little or no innocence within them and apply for a student loan, it is granted to them. If a person that has innocence to them applies for the same student loan, he/she will be denied (or jerked around). This will happen because the world doesn't like to have someone of that type of innocence to continue without corruption. The more that the person is denied; the more there is a chance that corruption can be applied onto the person. It is sad to say, however it is the truth. If someone of that amount of innocence is able to continue with his/her education, he/she will be able to show some good to the world. This is something that many corrupted people do not want to see happen because the corrupted people of the world will be removed from his/her positions due to this. An example of this would be a political position. If a person of innocence were to be in politics, the political name would no longer mean lair. If politicians were made up of people that have innocence, then there would be fewer fights between the public and the politicians. This would be true because the politicians would no longer lie to the public about anything. If there were going to be a tax hike, the politicians would tell you that rather than them hiding it in some other cost.
There are some people in the world that are still innocent. Most of them are still babies, however there are some that are adults. I have been told that I am a "good hearted" person, but I don't think that I really am. I see more corruption with myself than what other people can see. Although I can think like a child, I have been around too many people to not have the corruption that I can see. I may have some innocence with some subjects, however they are very few in my eyes. I am an honest person but my innocence is not as great as it should be. An example of my innocence being in question would be this site. With some of the topics and the way I have talked about them, it shows that I have quite a bit of corruption in my mind. Although I am able to talk about each of the topics, I am no better than any of you. I am just trying to be as honest as possible because I feel it is necessary. This is not a form of innocence in my eyes; it is a form of honesty. There may not be a difference between the two, however that is the way that I see them.
I have friends that I feel I need to be around. These friends all have a different type of innocence to them. Some of them it is harder to see than others. My newest friend, I see a lot of innocence in his/her heart. I have just started to realize that there is a strong connection to him/her that I can feel, however it could just be the innocence that I can see within his/her heart. The more time that I spend with him/her the more I am able to feel/see the good in other people. Hopefully the friendship will continue because I believe the more time I spend with him/her, the more that I become innocent once again.
