The memory of every given person is different according to that person. If the person seems to be hard working and gets everything done on time, they would see to have a great memory. If the person is lazy and can't get everything done at the right time, their memory is either really low or that person has a lot of stress to deal with. The person that gets everything done on time (if not sooner) may not have a good memory; they are just doing the work constantly. A person like this could "burn-out" himself/herself depending on the job.

The memory can be distorted a lot of the time. If a person can only remember bits and pieces of something, the memory itself is having problems. This is true because the brain could have had something done to it that is causing the problem, for example a bad bump on the head. Other examples of the lack of brain-cell activity are sniffing gas fumes, lack of sleep, hit in the head too many times, and stress.

The memory is probably the better part of any given person and is always in danger. Anything can cause the memory to lose the ability to work properly. If people refuse to use their brain enough, to not challenge him/herself, the memory may refuse to work. This may happen because the brain isn't being challenged enough so it will start to refuse to work properly, so it will cause the person's memory to no longer work too. To access the memory you need to use the brain, but if the brain is unable to cooperate the memory will not be useful. If a person is using his/her brain less than a "vegetable" then the person's memory will be unable to function due to lack of activity.

The memory needs to work for a person or the person will become useless, especially over a certain amount of time. If a person doesn't think about anything from the past, using his/her memories, when he/she wants to remember something his/her mind will not know how to. This can be extremely dangerous because the person will only remember fragments. It is dangerous because he/she will not be able to determine the truth, and may think that what he/she is remembering (fragments) is the truth.
