This is the lava flow from the volcano taken from the helicopter. We're about a mile away from it in this picture and the volcano is about a mile and a half from the shore. The steam you see are the two lava flows trailing into the water. The lava travels from the volcano through lava tubes that crust up on the top so the lava can flow freely.
