Rei is a very independant, strong-willed girl. She stands up for what she believes in and isn't afraid to say what she thinks. She gets angry easily especially around Usagi. Her characters in TV version is a bit different from manga. In manga she hates boys, and doesn't want a relationship with them. This is due to her parents' unhappily marriage. But in TV version, she always seeks for a boyfriend, and got one in the Second series. Her mother died when she was young, and her father hasn't got time to look after her (her father is a famous japanese statement), so she moved into her grandfather's shrine. She found her interest, and became the priest in the shrine.
Rei has special powers, she can divine and get the answer from fire. She always helps people to find their missing things. Her nerves are ery sensitive and she knows something is going to happen before the others.
