MIXED WATERS

While ministering in an Aglow meeting somewhere I met a woman with a prophetic calling on her life. I encouraged her to stir up the gifts that were within her and then I left, but we stayed in touch with each other. At that time I lived in South Africa. One day I got a letter from her. She was very discouraged. Her pastor had just come in and told her that he was not happy about her and that she was no longer allowed to be part of the intercessory team at the church and would she please refrain from prophesying in the church as well.
I was rather surprised and went to the Lord about this. The answer He gave me was
„mixed waters".

A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain , and a corrupt spring . (Prov 25:26 )

This was the first scripture I found. The second one was:

Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? (James 3:10-11)

I understood these scriptures to say that giving way (falling down) to evil spirits (the wicked) corrupts the spring.

Jesus said that if you drink from Him, out of your belly shall flow rivers of living waters. These waters come out of your spirit. Unfortunately, when you have been involved in occult practises before you get saved, those occult spirits cause a little trickle of occult waters (counterfeit gifts) to flow into your river and it corrupts or pollutes that river. Because this is a spiritual matter, invisible to our eyes, we can only discern this with our spirit. This is what happens. Someone comes along, flowing in the prophetic gifts of the Spirit and while we sit listening to that person, something doesn’t feel good inside. We cannot really see something on the outside but our spirit reacts to the words that come out of such a person. When that happens, you can be sure there is some pollution somewhere.

This is what happened to this dear sister in the Lord. She received from the Lord the ability to minister prophetically, to move in the supernatural world (Rom 12:6-8), but while in the world, that same ability had led her to participate in occult things. When she got saved she prayed a general prayer of renunciation. Many people in the same situation do not even do that, they just stop participating in occult things. But that’s not enough. Just as one has to confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and also confess your sins before God, so one needs to renounce involvement in the occult and call each of these involvements by name. It’s like a roll call. We do this, not because God cannot hear us when we pray in our minds, but because principalities and powers in high places (Eph 6) are listening in. Every time you mention one of those practises you have been involved in, like fortune telling, reading your horoscopes, etc. the demon attached to that practise sits up and takes notice. Now he knows something is up. And then you renounce its hold upon your life and tell it to go.

I have prayed with many people which had to renounce involvement in the occult and most of the time the testimony I got was, It felt like an iron band was removed from my head. By the way, those occult spirits leave quietly and immediately when told to do so. Once we were asked to pray for a Christian brother who had battled to receive the Holy Spirit and the evidence of speaking in tongues. He battled for 37 years. The Lord showed us that he needed to pray a prayer of renunciation. First we told him to forgive, because God cannot forgive you unless you forgive others. And we gave that brother time to do that and then we made a list of everything he had dabbled in, in the occult. I can assure you that it was a long list. After that we loosened him from those occult powers and he started to speak in tongues immediately.

That sister I told you about, did the same. Next time I visited her, I asked her if she had been involved in the occult and she told me she had, but had prayed a general prayer of renunciation. I told her that that was not enough and we made a list and she called each of those things by name and she was free. Her pastor’s spirit had picked up those mixed waters coming out of her, but now her waters were pure and soon she was back in the intercessory team etc. So you see how important it is to do this You also need to renounce the zodiac sign that you were born under. Because you are no longer under the rule of the star of your god, as the Bible calls it.

But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves. (Amos 5:26)

You see, just like God has His high rank angels, Satan also has them. And twelve of those are connected to the star under which you were born. The devil wants to imitate everything God does. Those principalities (gods) of the different stars claim every person that is born on this earth and then they go to work, to make sure that those born under their rule, will be conformed to their image. They do this with their character descriptions of the different zodiac(star) signs. They get published and people read it and you hear them say, You react like a real Lion or Capricorn etc. People are put into boxes that way.

I remember when one of my children was born, I even pasted a horoscope of that day and a character description of its Zodiac sign into the baby book and expected this child to develop like that. They also try to control your life with their horoscopes and advise you which person to marry and what job to take etc. The good news is, that when you got saved, God took you out of the realm of darkness and translated you into the kingdom of His dear Son.

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: (Col 1:13 )

And Jesus is now the captain of your salvation (your ruler).

For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. (Heb 2:10)

And you are being conformed into the image of Jesus. That means, the older you get in Him, the more you are going to be like Him. So your character changes. Surprise for those that try and analyse your handwriting!

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Rom 8:29)

And when we see Him we will be like Him! Hallelujah!

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. (1 John 3:2).

The other day I went to a garage and signed for the lease of a car. The girl that helped me saw my date of birth and said, Oh you are a……(wouldn’t you like to know?). I stopped her. Nobody needs to make lousy confessions over my life like that. I said, No, I’m not, I am a child of God and no longer under the rule of that zodiac sign and also do not have that character anymore because God is changing me and when I see Him I will be like Jesus! Her mouth fell open. But it is the truth. I will not give that former ruler any power over my life!

Another thing I have noticed when praying with people about occult involvement is, that those occult powers try to hide. So we always ask the help of the Holy Spirit to uncover them and bring them to our remembrance. It is helpful to use a list of those practises and mark the things where you have been involved in. Lists like that you will find on the website www.doveministries.com.

This is a ministry in Australia. I have used that list and it is very helpful! .You can pray for yourself this way, but if you need help, go to someone you trust and knows how to move in this ministry and ask them to pray with and for you. Once you have done that you are free to move into the things God has for you.
