Yuffie and Vincent are hard to recruit without someone telling you how to, so, I'll tell you how to. Check it out below:

Yuffie (Caution, read very carefully!!!!)
|
Ok, somewhere on the world map wander around in the woods. If you're lucky you'll find and fight Yuffie, if you use sense on her it'll call her 'Mystical Ninja'. Before fighting her if your levels aren't so high, equip stuff that protects or absorbs fire on your characters. After you beat her, and she shouldn't have been too hard, reply exactly as I tell you:
Yuffie: You spikey headed jerk! One more time, let's go one more time!
Cloud: Not interested.
[ After everyone stops talking, go up to Yuffie and talk to her]
Yuffie: You're pretty scared of me, huh!?
Cloud: .....petrified.
[ Now, don't be worried when she walks away, coz' she'll turn around, all pissed at you and say:]
Yuffie: I'm really gonna leave! REALLY!
Cloud:Wait a second!
Yuffie: You mean you want me to go with you?
Cloud: .....That's right.
Yuffie: All right! I'll go with you!
Cloud: ..... Let's hurry on.
Yuffie: Wait, I haven't even told you my name..... (Now you get to name her and... VIOLA! and don't use the save point or she'll run away)
WELL NOW YUFFIE IS AT
YOUR COMMAND!!!!!!!!!!

Vincent, he's not too hard to find. All you got to do is fight a boss...

Ok, in the Shin-Ra Mansion go to the safe and break the code which is:
Right36, Left10, Right59, Right97
Fight the boss Lost Number. His red side is weak against physical attacks,
and his purple side is weak against magic spells. When you beat him get the basement key in the safe and Odin materia on the floor. Go to the basement and unlock Vincent's door, and look very close for it, it's on the way to the library. Open the coffin that stands out from the rest and it lies in the middle. Vincent will come out. Talk to him until he wants to be left alone. Then walk out of the mansion and on your way he'll stop you and join your crew. He's pretty good, he was one of my favorite character.
